Not Biblical, Inaccurate-will be returning it, do not buy!
This book does not have God’s 10 Commandments in it. This book instead lists the catholic church’s false version of the commandments, which cannot be trusted. The catholic church’s version of the commandments has removed “Do not make for yourself a graven image (an idol)” to justify their worship of the virgin mary and other saints. They have further added a commandment by splitting up the final commandment “Do not covet…” into a two-parter. This is not Biblical and should not be trusted. The Lord was very clear with His commandments and they should not be changed. I will not be purchasing any Arch books again, as they have clearly compromised God’s Word. For an accurate reading of God’s Law, please see Exodus 20 below. Exodus 20-New King James Version (NKJV) And God spoke all these words, saying: 2 “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 “You shall have no other gods before Me. 4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. 7 “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. 8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. 12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you. 13 “You shall not murder. 14 “You shall not commit adultery. 15 “You shall not steal. 16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

Easy for Little ones to learn more about the 10 Commandments. The wording is perfect for 3+ yrs to engage and understand. The pictures are interesting and can be used to further talk about each of the 10 Rules.

Good Book, But the Price Must Be Wrong
This book treats the Ten Commandments as a blessing and gift from God. It is intended for children ages 5 through 9 and is written at the third-grade level (not baby-preschool, as sometimes listed). The book reminds children that although we can't keep God's law perfectly, we can let the commandments guide us in a life of love for God and for all people. The review following this one says that the commandments in the book don't follow the numbering in the Bible, but the commandments aren't actually numbered one to ten in the Bible, either. They are in Exodus 20, verses 3 through 17, and are not divided into ten verses. That's why denominations sometimes number them differently. This book, published by a Lutheran publishing house, follows the Lutheran tradition when it comes to numbering them. The first four commandments in this book are: 1: You shall have no other gods. 2: You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God. 3: Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 4: Honor your father and your mother.

Only 9 Commandments?
I'm very disappointed in this book. I love the Arch Book series and have brought up our children and now our grandchildren with Arch Book Bible stories which have been true to the Bible scriptures. But The Ten Commandments book skipped the second commandment about not making graven images to worship. Then the tenth commandment about not coveting was split into two commandments: not coveting a neighbor's house/belongings and (separately) not coveting anyone or anything else.
