I've tried making my own cables going into the headphone/mic jack, but had difficulties getting the conference call to recognize an external source/mic. I plugged this cable directly from the output of a mixer, then into my Samsung phone's USB-C connection, dialed into the conference call. When I dialed in from another phone, I could immediately hear the test music coming from the mixer.
