Definitely notice a change in smell, or lack thereof, in the air. We have a 1700 square foot house and I've positioned it near the return air duct to help the air get around the rest of the house. My wife burned some toast today and the smell didn't last as long as it usually does.If you run the fan at full speed there is a fairly significant noise with that, but you can adjust the speed, and the noise, down to your liking.Undecided on the ozone feature, but you can also dial it up or down or turn it off completely. As other posters recommended I placed this in front of my air intake. I put the ozone on medium and let it go. Within 15 minutes we both had a headache. The chemical smell was overwhelming. Putting the ozone on low works well and it seems to clear out the smoke smell. It was a little smaller than I expected but seems to do the job.
