Alfalfa is a source of vitamins A, C, E, and K4; and minerals calcium, potassium, phosphorous, and iron. **Q: Dr recommended 1000 mcg k2, but in reviewing MK-4 and MK-7 I think I need the MK-7. Haven't found it in 1000 mcg. Can you help? The NOW bottle that comes up on Amazon is not 1000, it is 100 mcg.** A: Just finished reading about vitamin K and all the different types from 'Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox'. Excellent book I must say. Your doctor must have been refering to MK-4 version of Vitamin K2 which has a half life of 1 hour i.e. you have 1/2 of amoun ingested after 1 hour, so you definitely need a lot. The MK-7 version of vitamin K2 has a much longer half life and hence you don't need as much.
