An enigmatic drifter becomes the talk of a small Texas town, but finds the pettiness of the locals becoming too much to take in this drama starring John Schneider, Ernie Hudson, and Robert Davi. The moment the bus doors closed behind Sam Doonby (Schneider), the local rumor mill began to churn. Meanwhile, as the musically gifted Sam begins drawing big crowds down at Leroy's Country Blues Bar, he catches the eye of entitled Laura (Jennifer Gotzon), the daughter of a prominent local doctor (Joe Estevez). But when Sam's helps the townspeople avoid a series of potential disasters, the gossip begins turning vicious. And the moment Laura allows herself to be swayed by the suspicions of others, Sam vanishes into thin air. Now, without the grace of a stranger to help guide them, the perplexed locals begin looking inward, and realize they may have been too quick to cast the first stone. Great message

Hitchcock/Twilight Zone Quality Film.
This has to be the best anti abortion film I have seen and have a chance to review. Do not be turned off by the phase antiabortion as it is more than that. It is a suspense thriller that Twilight Zone would have loved to carry as a story. A very Hitchcock ending that will have you gasping.. Jenn Gotzon is brilliant, deserves ten stars, and certainly this was an Academy Award level acting by her. I high recommend this film.

John Schneider does a wonderful performance as Sam Doonby
I received this movie and as soon as I got home from work, I watched it. It took me a minute after it ended to understand it. They flip/flop during the movie, but if you understand the movie at the end, it is well worth it. John Schneider does a wonderful performance as Sam Doonby. At the end, if you understand it as I did, you will love the movie.

Mystery man
Interesting film with JOHN SCHNEIDER. Very mysterious man shows up in town, changes the whole complexion, then mysteriously leaves. Twilight Zone - esque. Loved John in the role of Sam Doonby. I wish there was another disc where they would like the band just play, as it looked like they were having fun jamming together. Well done.

Great job, and I think that is probably the best work I've ever seen Schneider do. Only one I wish had more screen time was Mom, Jennifer O'Neill. I fell in love with her back in "Summer OF '42" and never got over it. And Jenn Gotzonwas just great. Never saw that ending coming. Of course it really hit me. Amazing what a difference one person can make in so many lives. Really enjoyed it & will be watching it again.

SUCH A GOOD MOVIE!!! I absolutely recommend this. It's not one of those movies that you can watch while doing something else, though!

Crap movie with a crap agenda
This movie is complete crap. Not only is the script and acting awful (and it is that bad), it's got an offensive agenda. If I want to watch a movie, I don't need to be preached at about someone's anti-choice beliefs. It should come with a warning that it's religious propaganda or be in a separate section for religious movies. What a HUGE waste of time. I feel bad for Ernie Hudson.

Ok movie but the acting..
Movie was ok, but alot of scenery chewing acting a bit overboard

Great message
I appreciated the surprises and the emotional pull this story had on me. As a viewer, you can certainly tell that something unknown is going on underneath the story's surface, and this sense keeps you interested and glued to the story. Every family needs a copy of this movie.

Sad But Beautiful
Awesome film. Will not be popular with liberals as it highlights the sad reality of some of their pet policies. John Schneider is excellent. A sad but beautiful film.
