Is the height adjustable?

YES! It is adjustable, by chain links. Your bag has a chain to hang it by. Adjust it to the height you want... or buy a longer chain to adjust the drop you want ;-)

How big are the pegs for the weight plates? weight plates come in 1" and 2" size holes

The peg diameter is 1". I measured about 15/16 of an inch on mine.

What are the two metal loops for on the left and right sides of the leg frames that touches the floor?

Some heavy bags have anchors at the bottom to limit their swing distance; those are especially useful with a stand like this where a wildly swinging bag could lead to tipping over.

Does the stand keep the heavy bag in place or does it swing around freely with no anchor at the bottom? We want to use it for karate.

It seems to me that you're asking about the actual bag swinging around, not the whole stand with the bag on it, right? If so, you can buy a heavy bag anchor (usually a large bladder filled with water), attach it to the very bottom of (underneath) the bag and make sure it flattens out, like a pancake. Mine works great; bag swings very little and the stand is solid
