Works well for my 4x2

I have terrabloom expensive filters and ac infinity. They have worked well removing 90% of the heaviest of smells. I removed the a.c from the tent I put this cheap brand filter in. The tent smell is unbelievably strong right now and this filter cleans the loud smell 100% I cannot even believe it. I had the expectations that this would work enough to tame the smell as I push it to another tent but seriously this is the best working filter I have seen yet and it's only a 4 inch. My 6 inch terrabloom isn't this effective. Don't get me wrong, the room stays smell free with the others even though u notice a light hint front the exhaust pipe it ends up being clean when mixed with fresh air. But for the price this is the best! Also the hooks for your hanging chains are the best addition yet. Note: pre filters are cheap and fuzzy but that's something you can live with if it works this well. Try it you won't be upset and you will have discreet growing. 4 inch works amazing in a 2x2 with 188cfm inline fan.

So we have a couple rescue cats. The dust from the litter boxes gets to me and I hate it. So I was looking at different air cleaners and so many were way too expensive just to filter the air a bit in the basement. I found this and bought a digital on/off timer so the fan and filter could cycle the air for a few minutes every few hours or so. It works so good that any odors and dust were quickly pulled from the air. If you keep the supplied sock (pre filter) on the filter it’ll last a very long time. The only issue I have with my setup is that sometimes it creates a lot of noise. Mounting it to something solid helps but the fan connected to the filter will get a bit of a squeak at certain speeds. I also bought a variable speed switch for this so I can control how hard the fan works. If you don’t have the money for a fancy setup you can get my entire setup for much cheaper than paying full freight for an all in one air cleaner. I paid almost $200 for an air cleaner with UV/filter/etc but the filter crap out very fast and they are very costly. A lot of people don’t realize with a little ingenuity you can create a very comparable setup at a much cheaper cost. Clean air is a must these days!

I rated with only 4 stars because I only used it once but don’t get me wrong it is perform like it is supposed to. Built to last, materials are great and it looks awesome. I have it plugged under my airbrush booth and trust me it works well.

I personally grow and smoke herb in my home, and between the two activities there's definitely a very identifiable smell to my house lol. As a newer grower that's slowly building up a grow room with limited financial resources during the pandemic, going cheap is the only way for me to be able to grow right now. After some research I came to realize that even a small, cheap carbon filter can do wonders to clear multiple rooms of air - and this particular filter was everything I could have dreamed. It's small, cheap, and easy to assemble (though heads up - you'll have to grab the ducting and fan separately), but doesn't look or feel cheap from my admittedly limited experience. It's really cleared my entire house of smell and made a noticeable difference at a price i'm really grateful for right now. Is it the most powerful or high end? No, but if you're a new grower feeling the pain of buying a bunch of growing supplies to start out or just have a smaller space in need of some smell-free air, I highly recommend this. Even if you have a larger space but can't afford a bigger carbon filter or you feel like testing how much one can make a difference, I really recommend giving this a go because it WILL make enough of a difference for you to feel out whether you want or even need to invest in something bigger.

Ordered this filter for an unusual application. It is used to filter air from a composting toilet for my off grid house. The toilet is supposed to vent outside through a pvc vent pipe but I did not want to cut a hole in the wall to do so. I attached this filter directly to the fan vented exhaust output using a rubber 3 inch to 4 inch adapter to see if it would actually work to remove any toilet smells. It’s been working for over a year now with absolutely no smell venting directly into the bathroom. Needless to say I am extremely impressed with how it has worked and happy that I don’t have to cut another hole in the side of my house. Highly recommend as if it can alleviate that smell, I’m sure it will work on almost anything

Used this at the output end of a small spray booth for model building. Seems to work fine and the external cloth "bag" seems useful to capture any residual paint should it bake its way through the filter. Haven't seen any of that at this point. In my spray booth application (using it in a garage) there are still residual vapors, but those are coming from the spray booth itself and not the filtered exhaust end of the setup.

While I use this with my grow tent , it is More than adequate to use with a gas mask at your local peaceful protest.
