Lovely brushes great to use

Great product and they are good quality.

Picked this up for some home touch-ups and it did the trick. The brushes are decent quality for the price—no major shedding and they hold paint well enough. The roller worked fine on smooth walls, and the wood brush gave a nice finish on skirting boards. Not professional-grade, but perfect for small jobs or beginners. Would’ve been nice if the roller came with a tray, but overall, solid little set for the money.

Good variety of brush sizes. Bristles are very pliable. Some brushes had an errant bristle which I cut off and only lost a couple of bristles during use. Brushes are very tactile in the hand. Paint loads evenly and holds very well. Obviously down to personal technique, but I found the paint applies really well (Johnstones trade emulsion). Brushes cleaned better than expected with cold water. After 2 days use, brushes have held up well and maintained their structure. Should get several uses out of them with care but they are cheap enough to dispose of if not. Don’t let the price fool you, these are a reasonable set of brushes for the money.

Reviewed March 2022: I really rate Harris brushes, they are top quality and I've learnt that it always makes sense to pay got quality paint brushes as they are generally better quality bristles (streaks in the paint) and don't shed the bristles. If they are looked after properly in regards to cleaning and drying, will last a long time. Bristle loss is minimal, and they are fine enough to give a smooth, decent finish. Although these are packaged up as for walls and ceilings, I've used them for wood work also. I'm now only using water based paints (took a long time for me to convert), and this brushes can be long lasting if well looked after. A few tips: don't need to dunk the entire brush in the paint to clog them up, washed them and rinse them well after use, and dried flat (not upside down so water runs back in the handle) There are only a couple of brands of brushes I buy, Harris is one of them.

Makes painting easier overall than a cheap brush.
