Amazing timer. Absolute must have for any kitchen
My life changed when I started using a dedicated kitchen timer instead of using my phone or microwave. This thing is easy to read and is SUPER loud. If you're like me and tend to wander the house/apartment, you'll have no problem hearing when this thing goes off. I like that there's an actual keypad for numbers as opposed to the up and down arrow, so quickly dialing in a time is incredibly easy. It's also really easy to toggle between counting up or down. I can set a timer for roasting vegetables, or use it to count up while timing my pourover coffee really easily. The mounting options are also nice. It usually lives on my fridge via magnet, but I can just as easily click the stand tab out and set it on the counter. I've also, on occasion, clipped it to my pants pocket when I won't be right in the room and want to be able to turn it off quickly. After a near decade use of my last one, I accidentally dropped it in a bucket of oil and killed it. I immediately bought another one of the exact same make and model despite there being slightly cheaper options on Amazon.

I use it for my workouts
I was in physical therapy for recovery from a shoulder and bicep surgery and this is what my physical therapy company used and I love it. I already had another timer but with this one you can put exactly to the second how much time you require. It is very loud and easy to use and stops and resets with the push of one button. It has a strong magnet for your fridge or workout equipment. It also has a spring loaded clip on the back if needed. The clip also has a flimsy stand that can be used to sit it upright for viewing.

Great timer!
The timer is a great help in my kitchen. I like the keypad of numbers that allows you to input the exact time that you need. (So many are set by pushing hour and minute buttons, but if you go too high, you have to start over.) Also, the alarm is a nice volume level and allows me to hear it when I am in the next room. The only drawback that I have is it doesn't count up after the timer has ended, which would allow me to know how long since it went off. (Only important when I am timing my dryer, but I'll get used to it.) Overall, it is easy to operate, display is easy to read, and it seems durable.

Simple and effective
This is a replacement for an identical unit (albeit with a different brand name painted on it) that we used for many years until it fell in a sink full of water. These are not waterproof! The number buttons make it very easy and quick to set the desired countdown time. You can also easily start it to count up. The alarm is loud enough to hear anywhere in our modest apartment. The display is large enough without being obnoxious, and is about as readable as an unlit monochrome LCD can be -- fine for the kitchen. Despite being easy to read and control, the timer does not take up much space. This is only a timer, not a clock. That is a good thing. You never have to set the time, and it automatically shuts off a little while after you stop the timer, so the batteries last a very long time. We have plenty of clocks on other appliances and our phones, so we don't miss one here. I would not recommend using the magnet to hold this timer on an appliance, because the magnet projects far out from the center of the back of the timer. If you push any of the buttons towards either side of the timer, that will rock the timer and pop the magnet off the surface of the appliance. You could just stick the timer there and pull it off to push the buttons, but that might be tricky to do without using two (clean and dry) hands. Instead, we use the fold-out leg that stands the timer up. That makes it easily accessible, but not particularly stable, because it is lightweight and the leg supports it at only one point behind the timer. We usually grab it to press the start or stop button with a pinching motion with fingers behind the timer and a thumb pressing the button. This would be hard to do if it were stuck to a metal appliance, because there is not enough space to get your fingers behind the timer without popping it off the appliance. We do usually hold or pick it up to press the number buttons using two hands -- not because they require much pressure to push, but because the timer will scoot around or fall over if you just push at a button from the front. I bent a paperclip into a shape to hold the fold-out leg a little further away from the body than the built-it clip does. That makes it slightly more stable. Finally, I like the reasonably large, soft, long-travel buttons. They are not the smooth, clicky membrane switches found on many devices. Membrane switches are easier to clean and are potentially waterproof, but I find the buttons on this timer easier and more pleasant to press, cleaning was really never an issue, and they worked reliably for years. So while the stand and magnet could be improved, and making it waterproof would be nice, this still seems like the best simple kitchen timer I can find.

Loved This Timer!
I loved this timer. Purchased in 2016, I would still be using it if I hadn't lost it during my penultimate move. It was sufficiently loud for me, and I have significant hearing loss in one ear. Even better, I could take it with me by clipping it on my shirt and return it to the kitchen when I went to get my food. Used often. Covered in crud. Dropped God knows how many times. Still worked great. My latest apartment doesn't have a timer on the stove and sometimes I forget to set the one on my phone when I get back to it. Direct time entry is so much better than min/sec +/-. Buttons have a good spring to them. Timer didn't feel heavy, but also didn't feel light. Right amount of weight. Definitely buying again. I even think the price is the same as before, or pretty close to it.

Perfect for non 1 hour/minute/second times
Iโve bought and used regularly both this timer (old version) and the habor timer. And I vastly prefer this timer for my use case which is anything other than 1 of a minute, second or hour. Wins: I can punch in any time with a minimum of fuss. Just punch in the number. (With the habor I would hold down the seconds button for a long time to get to 45 seconds โ my regular stretch time) When the timer gets to the end, I press reset once and it both stops the timer and resets the time. This means that when the timer gets to the end I make two button presses and Iโm off to the races again. (With the habor I would have to press reset twice โ once to stop the timer again to reset the timer. If I pressed it thrice it would clear the timer. Sounds minor but when youโre quickly doing this one can press thrice and then press start โ and now the timer is counting up with no alarm. Worse, itโs going to take me 20 seconds to reset the 35 second timer. I hated the habor timer.) Negs: the magnet is on a clip on the back. So it gets kind of tippy. I worked around this by creating a nest of fridge magnets to keep it into position (see 2nd photo). Not optimal. But this is such a minor issue compared to the win of the buttons for digits and the reset button just being a reset button. And the start/stop button sharing the same button. In hindsight, I'm a little annoyed that they didn't have the picture of the new version which seems to have addressed the tippiness issue. It also allows hours which is not really a priority.

XREXS Digital Kitchen Timer
The XREXS Kitchen timer is a good buy for the price you pay. The timer is accurate , easy to use and easy to see the numbers. The screen is not back lit, but I cannot imagine this ever being a problem. With the light in the kitchen, the screen is very readable. The timer ready sound, is to say the least, incredibly annoying. That is a good thing, because you cannot ignore this sound. The only problem I had with this timer, is that I had it attached by the magnet to the refrigerator. The first time I used it and I went to shut it off quickly because the sound was annoying, my hand hit the timer too quickly and harshly , the timer fell off the refrigerator and went literally flying across the kitchen. This is one well built timer. I immediately tried the timer to see if I broke it and it worked just fine. I was going to give this 4 stars because of the magnet situation, but taking the price I paid into consideration, this is a 5 star item.

Only up to 99 minutes
Changed review - after looking a bit closer at this timer, I realized that it only could go up to 99 minutes. If I needed to set a timer to wake up 8 hours from now, I couldn't do it. I like to have the simplicity of a timer that is easy to use. The size is larger than my old West Bend timer. I find the alarm fairly loud, but not annoying. Again, this is the Old Version.

Great product - but very loud!
I love that I can easily enter the cook time without pressing the minute button 30 times for 30 minutes! And I will never miss when the timer goes off as it is so loud. It also automatically goes into sleep mode after use which preserves battery life. My only complaint is how unnecessarily and annoyingly loud it is when entering the cook time!

Functions well but
It has all the flexibility i want in a timer, it works well but I sure would like to be able to stop it beeping every time i push a button. It's loud and in some situations annoying.

For someone with partial sight loss it's super
With only a start and stop button, plus buttons showing one to nine plus zero it's easy to set time and start and stop. Once my wife had the layout she found it straight forward to use.
