. Review: Their best - This album is a classic and it's still a 10/10 Review: This album is pure raw emotion, aggressive, and in-your-face. - Rage Against the Machine by Rage Against the Machine is as powerful and relevant now as it was when it was released. This album is pure raw emotion and intensity. The anger, passion, and urgency in the music feel timeless, and the message hasn’t lost any of its bite. Songs like “Killing in the Name” still hit incredibly hard — it honestly feels like it could have been written today. Every track is charged with purpose, combining heavy riffs, explosive rhythms, and confrontational lyrics that demand attention. Even if you didn’t grow up listening to Rage, this album still connects because the themes are universal and unfortunately ongoing. This pressing sounds great and captures the aggressive, in-your-face energy the album is known for. Loud, dynamic, and unapologetic, it’s meant to be played with some volume. A must-have album. Whether you’re a longtime fan or discovering Rage for the first time, this record absolutely belongs in any serious vinyl collection.

Killer Funk Metal Riffs!
4 Stars = Classic Rage Against the Machine enjoyed a respectable following in the 90's. They were apart of the funk/metal/rap movement that included Red Hot Chili Peppers , Living Colour,(though they were not straight rap) Beastie Boys, Scatterbrain, etc. Rage Against the Machine's sound was one of monster funk /metal riffs, especially on their first album "ST". Some say or think the Chili Peppers had a big influence on them, but I believe it was the granddaddy of funk/metal, Pat Travers, who was a major direct or indirect influence on many of these acts. Listening to the killer riffs on Rage Against the Machine "ST" has Pat Travers written all over them (maybe more than other 90's bands) from his 70's hey day (for those of you who don't know Pat & are interested, pick up "Putting it Straight, Heat in the Street" "Making Magic" "Go For What You Know"). So as I'm a big fan of Travers you could expect me to fancy this album "ST," & I do, but one thing that knocks it down a notch for me is all the angry rapping. I'm not saying that Tom Morrello & Zack de la Rochado do not have legitimate grips about the world all around us, but 100% anger is overkill, though it does lend authority to these songs. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but growing up in the 70's, rapping is not my thing. I'll take singing every time, but I do like this album, how couldn't I? All the killer funk/metal done in great style, even a nod to the mighty Led Zep's "Kashmir" on "Wake Up," the outstanding track on this CD, also the closing credits song on the first "Matrix" film. If you have a major funk metal jones like me, you could do much worse than picking up Rage Against the Machine "ST"!

Nothing need to be said about the album itself other than it's a classic everyone should have in their collection. I got the 2017 European repress of the album and it sounds fantastic. No complains.

Stampa ottima per un album che ha sconvolto i suoi tempi. innovativi, aggressivi, impegnati, tosti, questi sono i RATM!

1 star for being very poorly packaged by Amazon Prime in just a prime plastic bag, no form of protection for the record. Cardboard in album damaged. No way to contact Amazon other than returning product. Every other vinyl I have brought online in my life has been packaged better than this! Great album but as stated in description, picture disc does inherent background noise.
