Will this clip work in Texas?

Unfortunately No. This clip has such a shine on it that if left in the Texas sun, it will reflect the sunlight while still in the pocket & melt your hip off.

would this clip work on leather phone cases

I think it would, as the stickum stuff is great. I've had three of them. ..for three different phones, and great results, but I've had metal or plastic cases.

What are the measurements? Mainly how long is it?

The HipClip is 2.54" long. Here are the full dimensions: 2.54" x 0.50" x 0.30"
