Does anyone know why this is called a Scotch Pop please?

Yes. When Funko release figures from an upcoming movie, TV series or game, there's often a lot of secrecy about the pops (spoiler alert - they sometimes contain spoilers), so the release has a codename. The codename for the Marvel Avengers game was Scotch, although it was only meant to prevent news of the release leaking out, rather than to appear in a sales title.
