It took less than 30 mins to down load and my iPod was totally working. All artwork downloaded too. Space wise I have loads left so I would say you could easily get 20,000 tracks on the iPod but it would take longer to download. I updated my iTunes then I attached my old iPod which then failed so purchased this so when I attached my replacement it was connecting to latest iTunes version and worked perfectly well.
