Brushes can be used to retrofit 5275 Type 1 with a little work
As another reviewer had noted, these assemblies will not fit a 5275 Type 1 saw, but the actual brushes (the carbon brush and copper braid) are the same. I was able to detach the copper braids from the connectors, and reattach them to the connectors on the original holders. The saw appears to be functional now, but have not used it for anything yet. Skil no longer makes the assemblies for a 5275 Type 1. I was able to find a couple overprices brush sets on eBay, but decided the saw was not worth the investment. This cheaper, but more labor intensive, route appears to have worked OK. If you're looking for a plug-n-play solution, this is not the route to take. Leaving this review in case it's helpful to someone.

Fit well, unfortunately I didn't notice the damage on the rotor armature and they got chewed up, had to ditch the saw.

Google search brought me here to this item, the item is wrong, somewhere some how Google is wrong or Amazon is wrong. But the price is great easy return. Please check, double check and recheck before you order.

Saved my saw. Easy to install

It saved my favorite saw. I was about to throw it into garbage bin. Luckily I checked the brushed carbon, and search Amazon. Found it, ordered it. Received it. Installed it. My saw regains life.
