Koolehaoda 240mm Nodal Slide Quick Release Clamp, Angle Adjustable

Excellent quality and perfect length for a table top 35mm and 6x7 film copy setup.

I needed a system for my camera to adjust to a mounted teleprompter on a dual monitor bar. The prompter it attached to my monitor bar so I wanted to find an easy way to not just attach the camera but move it close to the prompter glass when needed. This did the trick. Because I’ve tried rails: not smooth. Dji plate that didn’t really slide in the tripod head: or adjustment was too far. So great to find this as it works great.

So far I am very impressed. It's adjustable! it's well built. It's less than buying different length slides. It's also thin enough you can carry it easily. Looking forward to testing it in June.

I like this Koolehaoda nodal slide rail. When I am shooting macro images you can almost bet that this rail is mounted between my camera and ball-head on my tripod. I like the fact that it does what it is supposed to do and is relatively easy to operate. That said, I would dearly love to find a similar product with a gear-driven focusing rail and lever-locking mechanism for mounting the camera to the rail clamp. One of the reasons I chose this particular rail is the 240mm length. It is both widely adjustable and stable. I have an 'L' bracket mounted on my camera body and the bracket and rail work well together. I think it was a good value for the money considering how much I use it.

Nodal slider for panoramic photography

Marking on clamp is printed where it’s very hard to align with ruler marking unless you turn it upside down. It could be printed on chamfer or on the side. It’s well built, usage is not practice. Also the clamp requires wrench to rotate 90 degrees. It could have been coin screw which could be turned with a dime or thumb screw from other side. Clamp is not centered in the plate after mounting. As you tightened the clamp, it not sitting in center.

I have used cheaper rails before but this checks all the boxes. I especially like the Arca Swiss style the length and strong locking mechanism for the quick release plates which makes it very safe to use your camera with a heavier lens when locking the nodal point position for Panorama photography.

Pour le prix, c'est parfait. Coulisse très bien, il y a des vis de butée, pour éviter de faire tomber l'équipement, totalement compatible Arca et plaque à mettre sous l'appareil très bonne. La longueur donne une bonne amplitude de travail, c'est parfait.
