They are dummy rounds. **Q: I have a browning bl-22 rifle. Will these work?** A: Yes, it will fit any firearm that uses the 22 LR round. **Q: are these .22 blue dummy rounds like snap caps? or will it break them?** A: Not snap caps. They are made of aluminum in the shape and rim of a .22 bullet. They prevent the firing pin from striking and damaging the barrel breach when dry firing. You have to rotate the dummy round each time as not to strike the same area more than once. I feel they were over priced for the amount you get. If your are using them to release the firing pin spring for storage like I do, you can get the same results by using an empty .22 casing. **Q: Will it load and chamber into the barrel of my 22 long rifle pistol ? Which is semiautomatic** A: I used this product to practice failure drills on my advantage arms .22 LR Glock 21 gen 4 loads fine. Only issue is the firing pin will strike this product will cause uneven wear on firing pin due to the 1/2 surface. Unlike other practice rounds with rubber or holes for firing pin. I use these in my pistol to dryfire and check functionality. Even though the firing pin in my pistol never strikes the rear of the chamber, I use them anyway. The blue color is easily recognizable from brass that helps with safety. NEVER mix live rounds with dummy rounds. NOT even for "flinch" practice. I like the aluminum (?) because it absorbed the shock of the firing pin strike. I tried plastic dummies and anchor bolts from the hardware store. The plastics break after one or two strikes. And, the anchors do not extract. I get about 15 strikes before they will not eject.
