A black powder coated frame holds a beautiful slate panel suspended over the bowl. The water flows through the top of the frame, down the slate & through a layer of polished River rocks into the waiting pool of water below. The trouble shooting instructions say that if the water level is low, the motor will run loud. My previous water feature did not require frequent addition of water. I do notice that the motor runs less loudly when I fill the basin with water. Also, it is a bit complicated to put together, and the instructions are useless! After a few trial and errors, I was able to get it right. It's definitely not worth the $100+ price tag. Due to the difficulty putting this together, the tugging and pulling that I applied caused me to break part of it. I had to repair it to be able to use this product. I just got my replacement one today and LOVE IT just as much as the 1st one I purchased! I will gladly continue to do business with this seller again! They are prompt and very good on service, delivery speed is awesome as well! It was a freak thing that the 2nd one had to be exchanged, but that was only due to the piece of slate & the edges.
