Yes, as far as the info on the label. There's no mention of any nuts being handled in the same facility.The powder is organic and of very good quality.

You should ask the company this question...there is one brand to wqtch out for "Unusually high lead found in Pacari Cacao Powder". I have found the NOW group to be homest.

Is orgnanic cocoa powder darker in color than, say, Hersheys cocoa powder?

No, I use both and this organic cocoa powder is darker. Also the taste is a bit different. Just a tiny bit more intense with a very small bite to it. Not harsh. The organic is smoother to me.
