There's not much I can say about motor oil that most people don't already know, so I'll just tell you about my experience with this brand. .. I have used multiple brands over the years and the lives of my cars. Mobile 1 has been the brand I returned to every time due to cost, quality, and availability. Even this last time, I picked up this 5 qt full-synthetic high-milage oil from Mobile 1 for use in my 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander SE with over 110k miles on the odometer. The oil change timer went off and by that time, the truck was very sluggish on the takeoff, so I placed the order for this and a filter. When they both arrived, I went to changing the oil immediately. Once done, I reset the oil life timer (I try to keep it to every 3.5k or 4k miles), started the truck and let it run for a few minutes to allow the oil to circulate through the motor and filter, checked the oil level one last time, then I took it out for a quick drive. One thing I noticed, the performance of the truck from when the oil was old and had miles on it was completely different after the oil change. While an oil change does not make the vehicle drive and feel like its brand new, it definitely does restore most of the lost power due to oil breakdown. It didn't bog down when putting the pedal down to the floor like it had just a few hours earlier. The fuel economy counter also showed better numbers after the change, so there's that. (Next time I'll monitor the before and after mpg to post here.) And I spent roughly $35 and about 45 minutes to completely drain the oil, clean around the filter housing, and reset the counter. Quoted at a local oil change shop at $56 and would take up to 3 hours. Next on the maintenance list, spark plugs and a new intake filter. Oh the joy. lol

engine feels smoother with fresh oil change

I’ve been using this oil for my car and it runs smoothly. Easy to pour, good quality, and no issues so far. I usually do my own oil changes, and this works exactly as expected.

Best price for Mobil 1 for my cheap azz Prius. I drive my Prius to the ground and pedal to the metal since it is so slow. So I only use full synthetic high mileage Mobil 1 and my engine runs great, zero problems.

I have used Mobil 1 oil and filters for many years without any issues. In my opinion, it's top-tier quality I can trust to protect my family's vehicles.

I normally don't post reviews, but this has to be a record of some sort. 738.2 miles on a full tank of gas (18 gallon tank) with a car with over 100k miles on the odometer! That's 41.74 mpg! You can see in the picture that based on the last trip fuel economy, my car estimates that it can now go 746 miles to empty! I drive a used 2018 Nissan Altima, not particularly well known for great performance or great gas mileage. But here's my car, with 104,010 miles on the odometer, that I drove 738.2 miles going from a full tank of gas to almost empty (no reading on the remaining range). I basically drove from Trenton, NJ, crossing borders of Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, DC, well into Virginia, going well past Richmond and Petersburg coming within 50 miles of North Carolina border, and then drove back to Trenton, all on a single tank of gas. The trip meter shows gas mileage for the trip as 43.9, but calculating from the volume of gas that was required to make the tank full again, 17.685 gallons, the actual gas mileage comes out to be 41.74 mpg. That's probably better than many hybrid cars. And that too in winter when average gas mileage drops quite a bit. The drive was 95% highway mostly at steady speed. Compare that with the EPA rating of a new 2018 Nissan Altima with 2.5L I4 engine, it's 27 mpg city and 38 mpg highway. This car gave better fuel economy than a new Nissan Altima! That's just astounding. For comparison, when I had just got this car, it had 41,000 miles on the odometer and at that time I could drive about 620 miles with a full tank of gas. That's about 36 mpg, mostly highway. That's when I had the Nissan OEM conventional oil in my engine. The only reason I can ascribe this dramatic and unthinkable increase in fuel economy to is using Mobil1 Extended Performance High Mileage Engine oil, and to perhaps to some extent the filter, Purolator Boss, which is also a great filter, perhaps better than the Mobil 1 extended performance filter. I am pretty sure this is among the best of the best in the market. It's uncanny how much of a difference good engine oil can make for a car. I would never use any other engine oil or filter.
