Five stars for doing what it was meant to do
Don't get me wrong when I say 5 stars. It is not 5 star tasting, but 5 stars for ease and not being awful. It's passable in an emergency. I dare say after a day or two of cereal or oatmeal we would welcome it as a change. It was easy to prepare. I made sure to use boiling water, not just hot water and exactly 8 ounces. IMO, it was too much water. I would reduce the water an ounce. I will definitely buy more for my emergency prep pantry.

Eat Them Dry! - for a ridiculously good Keto snack.
These are the best to eat dry because they are simply one of the best tasting keto snacks out there. I used to eat the egg dry out of cup ramen in the early 90s until they stopped putting them in the noodles for some reason. These have that same effect. They melt in your mouth and have a very reduced "eggy" flavor when you eat them freeze dried. I wish there was some of these marketed for snacking instead of camping because they would probably be a little cheaper. The prime sale over the last few days made them cheap enough to buy a couple bags. Please make a snacking line of these eggs, they are awesome.

It's doable
I bought these for emergency use camping in Minnesota just in case we ran out of food. Didn't use them so I tried 1 when I got home knowing I could just throw it out if I hated it. I thought they weren't bad. Taste wise it was a little bland but good enough to eat again. The texture was a little hard to get over. Something's were soggy, while some were crunchy. Overall I would eat it for breakfast every day if needed on a camping trip.

Great Portable and Durable/Long-Term/Emergency Simple Food Option
Works as explained. Tested with hot/insta hot boiling water. Fresh, tasty. Exceptional packaging. The packets are very durable and well-sealed. Can throw in backpack, gear with other things and the packet is damage and water resistant and protects the food. Fresh tasting food inside. Zip seal is solid once opened. Works "MRE like" in terms of portability, emergency use ready and still great for every day busy lifestyle preference for food-on-the-go. Lightweight and simple food taste.

Convenient but Soggy and Bland
I'm a huge fan of Mountain House meals and I'm usually quite pleased with the quality. However these scrambled eggs left me a little disappointed when compared to their other foods. Sure it's very convenient and is a great meal to have out in the middle of nowhere, but that's about all the good I can say about it. The main drawback for me is the excess water left over even after following their heating instructions to a tee, which leaves the eggs quite soggy and soupy if not fully drained. I drained mine through a fine mesh sieve thoroughly and they were still rather soggy. Texture was off. If you have nothing to strain them with, you'll have a hard time getting all the extra water out without losing some of the eggs. In Contrast, the "Breakfast Skillet" option with scrambled eggs, potatoes, onions and peppers turns out just fine with no excess water at the end. This makes me wonder if adding less water than the instructions call for could be an improvement for the scrambled eggs and bacon meal. Other than the soggy eggs and excess water left over, they're OK as a convenient hot meal when youre away from civilization. It beats a granola bar for sure. A little on the bland side though. The bacon adds some needed flavor but the pieces are very small and not substantial. I was expecting more bacon and larger pieces. To sum it up, this is not one of the better meals from Mountain House. They make much better options than this one, in my opinion.

Liked it
Surprisingly good flavor and texture for freeze dried eggs and bacon. Itโs expensive for everyday but for overnight trips or emergency food itโs good value. Honestly what I do is open a bag of biscuits and gravy and combine them. Then only hydrate half and save the other half in the pouch to hydrate the next day. The eggs have a def bacon flavor. But there is something in them that puts a tickle in my throat. They are pretty salty. Mixed with the biscuits and gravy it tastes good and no tickle. And feels more filling. I love the biscuits and gravy. Lots of sausage in it.

Takes a bit less water than stated. I also add more time than stated for hydration. Add some bacon crumbles or cooked bacon is a plus. However pretty decent for the price. Adding to the product. Heat up a tortilla add some cheese bacon and this package. Have a granddaughter that loves it that way. Important. If you have too much water in bag after time. You can pour it out. Not a big deal. All said and done. Well worth the price.
