Enchanted - Magical Forests Coloring Collection (Fantasy Coloring by Selina)

This is quite a pretty bunch of “enchanted” designs (mostly fairies) in a magical forest type setting. There are 25 different designs, however, what is great is that this artist provides 2 of each design, so you have a total of 50 designs to color (or to share depending on your mood.) The designs are quite elegant and have a great deal of detail in them. There are several “nudes” where hair and whatnot cover up the strategic areas so that the individuals are not technically nude. There are flowing lines in every design and it is a great book for those who are into fairies. The designs are printed on one side of the page with the back left blank. The paper is white and is not perforated. Many of the design go right into the binding, so removing the page might be a tad difficult without losing some portion of it. The paper is fairly thin and all markers and gel pens leak through. As the back of each page is blank, you can put a piece of cardstock or really heavweight paper under the page you are working on to keep ink from ruining the rest of the book. The binding is glued rather than sewn in.

This is one of my favorite artists. Her work is outstanding.

Selina Fenech is my favorite artist, it's wonderful having coloring books from her. The only downside of them is the edges aren't perforated, making taking the pictures you've colored out of the book a chore. Since some images go right to the edge of the book. Personally, I cut off the binding to solve that. If anyone else does this, it makes the edge you cut at curl up. The paper she uses is a nice quality. I only use colored pencils on them, but that go on smoothly and I've never had a problem with the paper tearing no matter how heavy my hand is. The pictures themselves are her artworks, but you'll notice some don't have as many details as the originals. This is great for adding your own details to it. The images vary in difficulty. Almost all of them give you the freedom to be as creative as you want. Or as simple.

I bought this coloring book a few months ago for my daughter who lives out of state. Happily, I had a chance to glance through it before I gave it to her - it's really a lovely book with outstanding "magical" designs - so pretty! There are 2 representations of each design, and thankfully the drawings are only on one side of the page. However, I'd still recommend placing a couple sheets of white paper beneath the page you're coloring so there isn't any "bleed-through," as the pages are pretty thin. I would have given it 5 stars, but this book doesn't have perforated pages (one of my pet peeves) which makes it hard and rather awkward to remove the pages even with a sharp blade. The designs are really beautiful and I'm sure you could experiment with all kinds of gel pens from glitter to metallic or whatever you enjoy! My daughter says she's really enjoying it - I may have to break down and buy one for myself!

This is my top favorite coloring book to date. The pictures are so exquisite! I color daily as a form of meditation and I prefer more real life type of pictures to color. This book has 25 different enchanted fantasy images to color and each of those pictures is repeated again in the book, so you have 2 of each image to color! Printed on one side of the paper, which I prefer! I used Fantasia Colored Pencils (my favorite of all) and also the Fantasia Watercolor Pencils with damp brushes in this book. There is one blank page in the back, you can create your own drawing there! Many coloring books, for me, have several pages in them that I don't care for, but this one is perfect! Every single page is as beautiful as the one before it.

Selina Fenech is a great artist, I am so excited to get not one but two of her books !! This one called Enchanted, but also Fairy Art. The best part is that both books have doubled the pictures, in each book!!! so I can share the same picture with one of my grandchildren or children. SO YOU ARE GETTING TWO BOOKS FOR ONE PRICE!. Is so great to get a little extra for your money now and then.

I love the Selina French collection!!!! If you want fairy art, this artist is the only way to go for quality pictures. You'll definitely want to make copies!! I'm sure you'll be wanting to color a lot of these more than one time. I recommend taking it to staples or office depot to have them copy all the pictures and make it spiral bound. Color that one and keep the book blank. He cover is near too. It's soft.. odd for a book but in a good way. The only thing about this is most of the pictures have a LOT OF DETAIL. So if you just want basic pictures to color in one sitting, this is definitely not the one for you.

I have just bought this book and I am delighted with it. I have about twenty colouring books but this is the first Selina French book that I have purchased. It will not be the last. The paper quality is very good, all pictures are single sided, and I like the fact that you have two sets of drawings so you can use different mediums and colour schemes. The drawings themselves are gorgeous, very realistic but with a delightful fantasy element. I love the fact that there is plenty going on in the background rather than just blank spaces. It truly is enchanting, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves colouring, it would also make a beautiful gift for someone who enjoys this hobby.

Heel mooi boek, waar zelfs een paar mannelijke wezens in staan, wat ik persoonlijk eens echt leuk vind. Helaas heeft de DHL bezorger de 3 boeken die ik had besteld ze in de veel te kleine brievenbus beneden gepropt, dus alle 3 de boeken zijn gekreukt, vooral deze, de duurste. Daar ben ik niet blij mee, en met DHL in het algemeen niet, dus ik ben even klaar met kopen bij Amazon. Echt jammer, want het is een prachtig boek, met duidelijke tekeningen, weinig "zwart", en mooi papier. Ik was alleen verbaasd alle tekeningen 2 keer te vinden, maar dat is met zo'n mooie tekeningen ook geen probleem.

Este libro lo encarge despues de comprar otro libro suyo "Marmidas".Me gusto tanto que ariesgue y me lo pedi.Desde luego no me defraudo.Es un libro preciosissimo.Tiene muchas paginas editadas por una cara que significa que puedes utilizar toda la clase de material para colorear.Ademas de eso las caras los cuarpos y todo lo de mas de estas preciosas mujeres esta fascinantes.No le encuentro ni un solo defecto a ninguna de las imagenes.Antes de dormir me gusta mirarlo para pensar como lo voy a colorear. Disfruto con este libro mucho.Lo mejor del todo es que esta impreso 2 veces en el mizmo libro.Puedes pintar las imagenes una y otra vez de una manera distinta.Se ve que saben lo que haces .Porque vi la gente fotocopiando los libros.Aqui no te hace falta.Lo volveria a comrar.Me encanta.

This is my first Selina Fenech colouring book but I am already in love with her artwork. I have always enjoyed fantasy books and I greatly appreciate the world she has illustrated. The artist has a wonderful grasp of the human form, both female and male, and all of her artwork features at least one human figure interacting with fantastical elements. If you're a big fan of animals, both real and extraordinary, you'll be pleased to know that you can also find an owl, three dragons, two unicorns, a horse, two rabbits, a wolf, a swan and a raven among these pages. All of the images in her book are beautifully detailed without being overly complicated or difficult to colour. The lines are clear and with purpose, so it is always very evident where objects begin and end. Also, only one image is printed on each page, allowing you to worry less about your choice of colouring medium ruining the image on the other side. However, you still need to be careful about the next page, as the paper is thin and markers and perhaps gel pens will leak right through. Pencil crayons work wonderfully and it is easy to blend and create multiple layers. Every picture in this book is printed twice, allowing you to try different colours and techniques on the same image. This is something I found very convenient, as I usually have to scan and print extra copies for the same reason. Not to mention, there are many pieces of artwork in this book that I am sure I will want to colour over and over again!
