Breathable, Comfortable, and Dry
This jacket held up to the rains of early summer in Switzerland and even was warm enough to hold up for 32°F at the viewing platform of the Matterhorn, with only a T-Shirt underneath. During the rain my clothes underneath stayed dry and it helped wick water away as it fell. The sizing is off by at least one size. I am 5ft 10in and had originally ordered an 2XL. This ended up being way too large and the sleeves bunched up too much looking ragged. I recommend going down a size than what you may anticipate as this seems to run larger. The jacket lining was breathable during some of the warmer periods but could get warm while walking plenty. It stayed comfortable throughout our entire vacation and held up in different temperatures. I did wish there was internal pockets similar to a suit jacket and other brands such as Carrhart but this does the job. Would recommend if you are looking for a good “middle” temperature jacket, rainy days, or as a light jacket.

Nice lightweight rain jacket
I bought this for golf and it works very well. It's easy to roll up and store in my golf bag and it's not too bulky to wear for golf. It definitely keeps you dry. The hood is a bit large, although it will keep your head dry which is what matters.

Quick Delivery, Great Jacket
I got this raincoat for myself. When I got it and my wife saw how good it was, she wanted and now has one as well. We are very pleased with this purchase. I used it quite a bit over the past couple of months as we have had a fair amount of rain during this time. It has worked well and has proven to be very waterproof thus far. I particularly like the hood as I have always hated rain going down my neck and back with other non-hooded coats. There is plenty of hood to keep your head and neck dry and still cover my baseball hat, which helps keep the hood from covering my eyes. While not heavy, it does provide a nice level of warmth as well.

A good rain jacket for the price.
This rain jacket fits really well and kerps you dry when it is pouring. I also like that the hood covers a hat comfortably without pulling down on the hat. Here are a few onservations: What I like: -The sleeves, waist and hood are all adjustable to give you the fit you want depending on your body. -The material is light amd fully waterproof. -It looks well made, not cheap. What I dont like: -The hood is not detachable. If wearing it as a wind breaker without the hood you have the hood laying on the back of your neck with no way to remove it. -The armpits do not have zipper openings so if it is hot you can get a little streamy in it although it is somewhat breathable. Overall it is a good compromise between function and price but is missing a few features that are common on higher end rain jackets.

Bought another one!
I purchased this jacket to replace my old Columbia raincoat which basically stopped working after probably 5-6 years. Limited use, plenty of time in storage and being washed finally took the effectiveness out of the jacket. It was a great jacket for a long time, so I stuck with Columbia. From the few uses so far, this jacket will not be any different. High quality, comfortable, cool and breathable, but most importantly, waterproof. Fits well also, I did order a large first (same size as previous) but it was too small. I generally wear XL, so Columbia now fits as expected for me. I bought graphite instead of black this time, the color is very nice. Jacket is plenty long enough for the use, it reaches a few inches past my belt and I am six feet tall. Overall, I am very happy with this jacket and expect it to last just as long as my previous jacket, if not longer. My only gripe is the lack of interior pockets and the outside pockets are offset, but easy enough to get used to if this is your first Columbia raincoat.

I Don't Think This is a Fake, it's the Real Deal
Some reviews here are stating these jackets are fake Columbia due to the logo not being embroidered, the omni-tech label on the sleeve being different, not having a tag that says "packable" in the pocket, etc. Prior to purchasing, I went to Columbia.com and in the photos of this jacket (across multiple colors) you can see the logo and omni-tech sleeve label are the same as what's being posted as "fake" here. So I'm fairly confident this is the real deal Columbia Watertight II jacket. I'm guessing Columbia just decided they could save a few bucks by not embroidering their logo, simplifying the omni-tech label, and not sewing a tag that says "packable" inside the pocket. Admittedly the updated logo and omni-tech label don't look as nice, but as long as the jacket performs as intended, these shouldn't be deal breakers (not for me at least). As for the jacket, it looks, feels, and fits pretty much identical to my older Watertight II jacket. I'm 6'2 and weigh 230lbs and the XL fits me fine and had plenty of room to layer a fleece underneath for some extra warmth without restricting movement in the jacket. I haven't tested the water repellency of this particular jacket yet, but anticipate that it will perform the same as my older Watertight II and will block the wind just as well too. I use these jackets for general use on rainy days (commuting, running errands, walking the dog, day hikes, etc) and they perform great for those purposes through spring, summer, fall. I also use them in winter with a fleece, etc underneath, but that's typically if I'm not outside for extended lengths of time or running errands and will be in and out from the car to shops and vice versa. I live in Chicagoland and have an above avg tolerance for cold, just to give a baseline. If you're a hardcore outdoors type, you may want to invest in a different jacket. However, if you're looking for a solid rain jacket for general daily life that will provide years of use and cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $50 (I got lucky and got mine for $30 after tax) this would be a good choice.

Thus far, everything I wanted
I previously bought (and returned after getting this rain jacket) the Hellly Hansen Workware Men's Mandal Rain Jacket (for $38.87). The Helly Hansen jacket had no inside mash lining which made the jacket feel cold even with a sweatshirt. Also, it did not have side pockets large enough to put in a folded umbrella. This Columbia has a lining and large enough pockets. The zipper seems a bit small, but even if it breaks, there are several velco-type tabs along the front opening that could be used. It is lighter weight that my previous rain jackets, but I don't know if that indicates that it will be less durable. I have worn the jacket only once. It fits snugly around the neck and the hood can be tightened. The cuffs also have velco closures. I am 6 tall and 190 lbs; the "extra large" size fit well, allowing the jacket to fit comfortably over a heavy sweatshirt. All in all, this jacket shows thoughtful design, in my opinion. I wish that it did not have a 3" x 3/8" "Columbia" logo on the front, but that's a detail I can overlook. Basically, I am quite pleased with this purchase thus far.

Excellent value for the price, has held up great for over a year
This is an excellent jacket for the money! Somehow breathable while also breaking the wind, keeping out the rain, and providing a little bit of warmth on cold, late season hikes (without making you sweat excessively on warmer days/longer hikes). Zippered pockets and adjustable hood/wrists are also a huge plus. The fit is great in the chest and arms. Slightly tight around the belly, but that's because I'm overweight (5'11", 260 lbs). Still a great fit overall. I initially bought the XL size but it was massive! Ended up giving it to my friend (6'6", 285lbs) and it fit him perfectly. I wear my L size all the time and love it. It also rolls up nicely and you can then flip the hood over it to keep everything together. Very compact. Buy it!

Fits well, comfortable jacket
Inexpensive, well fitting jacket to replace my North Face jacket that fell apart after a couple years. Seems to be of better quality and less money than the previous one. Will buy another in another color, possibly.
