I just lost a microwave after a hard power surge and I knew it would happen again. I got a one pack of these to try it and it's working great. No more problems even though all the other appliances flicker. I got a 4 pack so I can protect my oven, fridge and other expensive items.

We live way out in Nowheresville, in the high desert Mts of southern Az. We get a LOT of power outages, apparently because we are at "the end of the line", or so the power company guys tell us. Most of them occur several times a week, and are only about 2 seconds. Of course,that's enough to mess up my countertop microwave I rely on a lot now that I am becoming more disabled. Oh,joy. The display takes a beating it is not designed to. So I hunted very hard to find a good protector. Already got a battery backup for my aging computer...so I found this,researched it, bought it. Arrived in a couple days,which is amazing for out here. I plugged it in, plugged in the nuker, waited, and lo and behold, the thing works. Now for an outage to come along,hey.... I like that light,letting me know it's doing its job. After we have a couple of the little outages,or even,God forbid,a biggie,(this IS monsoon season here), I'll write an update. Keeping fingers,toes and paws crossed. If I'm happy with this unit, next come the expensive frig and washing machine. Looking forward to protecting those!

Received this afternoon to use on a new microwave oven. Due to power fail/restore and brown-outs, my old microwave oven only gave the faintest audible alerts when heating was complete. All other functions were good but I’d like to have an audible alert when cooking was complete. I have, for years, a surge protector/line conditioner that constantly displays the ac voltage from the power company I use for my audio/video equipment. Watching the voltage when power restores after failing or when there’s a brown-out is an eye opener. The voltage can drop to near 100 and rise to 130. At one particular time the power company had severe problems. The voltage fluctuated from below 80v to over 150v. Many people lost fridges, air conditioners, tv’s, etc. After reading that this unit actually doesn’t send power to the microwave for about 30 seconds after commercial power restores, I had to buy it. I have simulated a power failure to see if it really works. It did! About 30 seconds after power restored to the outlet the microwave powered on. Considering how this protector operates, I think it’s a good value. Note: When commercial power restores the voltage usually takes several seconds to settle down. This can be the hardest on equipment. Also note, regarding other comments regarding the instructions, the single page with the device is equal in both English and Spanish. They both say the same thing. This device is about the simplest thing to use. Per the label on the device itself, plug the equipment into it (the microwave) THEN plug this protector into the ac outlet. The led’s on the front tell you the status. You should see a yellow light indicating Delay Period. After about 30 seconds the unit will click and the green Normal Voltage led will light. Thats when the microwave will power up.

I've had this for years and happy to report no I no longer have issues. I did have microwave fuse issues prior to getting this, so I bought this item and a new (same model) microwave and never had a fuse issue again.

In Nova Scotia we have innumerable power outages, and the time delay on line re-energizing helps eliminate the unavoidable spikes reaching the appliance.

En el área en donde vivo, tenemos muchos problemas con el voltaje y cortes de electricidad; ya he tenido por un tiempo el regulador para el refrigerador y me ha funcionado muy bien, ahora pedí el regulador para el microondas y hasta ahora todo está perfecto. Muy buena calidad del producto.
