Not sure. It stripped and thinned my little girls hair.

Is the shampoo safe for colored hair?

I have never had any problems using with my hair is colored. The product is chemical free so there isn't anything that can damage your hair.

How does this compare to the Desert Essence Coconut shampoo & conditioner?

Not sure, but this conditioner is some of the best stuff I have tried. Have not tried the coconut formula yet.
