CLAYMORE 07

We pick back up with Clare and Raki escaping both an Awaken Being and a murderous Claymore named Ophelia, and then running into Irene, one of the Claymores assigned to kill Theresa. New developments about how the Claymore gain powers and the ways they heal are made, and the duality of Clare as both weakness and strongest plays out again. The themes are interesting as mentors becoming part of you is often literalized in this series as well as using your differences as strengths. It's dark fantasy manga, but it is well developed and not nearly as focused on pure evil as many other in the genre.

With the number four Claymore Ophelia discovering Clare has almost awakened, Clare and Raki must split up once again so that Clare can fight without worrying about her friend. The confrontation that follows pushes Clare to the limit and help from an unexpected quarter leads to a reunion. This is another very good volume of Claymore with a surprising twist half way through. This volume does also include some info on what Clare actually is and the fight between Clare and Ophelia is interesting with both combatants showing just what they can do. Claymore is definitely becoming one of my favourite manga.

things were getting much more exciting in this chapter as crazy turn of event and twisting fates , a horrifying plot twist that effected clair's state and the tone of the series has gone darker , more mysterious & lots of questions regarding the worth of being a claymore . personally reading this chapter kept me on edge even as i watched the anime as it had shocking moments . gotta love the pureness of the cover as well
