Jack Richeson Strong Bamboo Reed Pens (Includes small, medium and large size) - 407090

I was a little hesitant to order these due to some of the quality control bad reviews. But, since they were so inexpensive, I decided to take a chance. They arrived in perfect condition with no cracks or problems. They were smaller than I thought they'd be, but once I held them in my hand I don't think I'd want them any larger. So, I got my india ink out and started drawing. From the very beginning they were super easy to control and I was able to make incredibly wide variations in line widths and marks, depending on the angle I held the pen to the paper, or even which side I used (correctly oriented or the flat back side). I can't say that every set will arrive in perfect condition, but at this price I'd say you should take the chance. You just may find your new favorite drawing pen. I know I did.

I was so delighted using these with my walnut ink!!! Above picture is just a little doodle test of the pen with ink. You will love how it feels on your paper.

The 2 pens that arrived are fine, about what I expected. However, the package was suppose to have 3 bamboo pens, not 2. I believe the package had been opened/returned, as the bottom seam was not closed, so the 3rd pen could have easily fallen out in the warehouse. It wasn't worth the time or bother to return it for the proper set - and I already held up a project waiting for them and didn't want to delay any further.

I use these pens for pen and wash illustration. Very well-made. Received them right on time. And well pleased with the product. Thank you Amazon.

Product was not delivered . Only an empty package that was sealed from the manufacturer. They didn’t put the pens in. How could anyone mail an empty package? Please send me pens or return my money and I’ll reorder.

Came on time, they look like the picture, BUT! When I saw what I paid $10 for, I was a bit stunned. Just some bamboo cut with a whittling knife, very rough cut. I haven't used them yet, going to watch some videos. Right now, I'm feeling a bit foolish. Update: Been using these a couple of days, have to admit they are fun and give nice different effects. I still think the price is ridiculous, though.

No complaints, they are as expected. I am very new to using bamboo pens but so far seem very easy to use and write with.
