Not recommended as it in reality is a light trimming router. A table would be for heavier jobs

Does this come with battery and carry case?

No. Tool Only. Great if you already have any of the other Dewalt range.

Can a 18-54volt flex volt be used in this?

If its still 18volt don't see why not.
