I was a bit worried since there isn't much of a raised lip to protect the front curved screen but this is my first screen like this and I heard that the cases are made that way due to the touch sensitivity. The phone has already survived one fall so far just fine with the case alone (before my screen protector arrived) so I saw first hand that it was able to absorb the shock and land flat on it's back instead of face down.
