Sleep mode is nearly silent, and easy to turn off the lights at night. Only gets a little noisy when set to high speed, or on auto when there are definite pollutants in the air and the filter goes to high-speed. My house is generally pretty clean, but with this filter I notice the air actually feels lighter and smells cleaner.
