GREAT FOR DIY MiVANITY LIGHTS!
I can not tell you how much I am in love with these lights. Most Vanity Mirror with Lights cost well over $200-$300 and I did not want to pay that much. I researched a few DIY Vanity Mirror with Lights and thanks to YouTuber, 4theloveofkelz, I was able to make my own DIY Vanity Mirror with Lights for under $100. You can check out my blog post on how I made my DIY Vanity Mirror with Lights [...]**Diary of a Makeup Addict**There are many ways this light strip can be used. It is important to note that this light does not come with a power cord or on/off switch, you have to buy one separately to hook this item up. Check out the "customers who bought this item also bought" list and suggestions should be offered. I also listed links to all the items I used on my blog post. Check out the deets [...]. It was very easy to hook it up. These lights are very sturdy and provide a great light source. Although I do not have mine mounted, I imagine they are easy to mount, as they come with holes for easy mounting. I am very impressed with this vanity light strip and would recommend it to others!

Beautiful fixture, lightweight but sturdy enough for sheetrock
product arrived very quickly, it is good quality and very easy to install. The plates are lightweight for mounting on sheetrock, and just malleable and thin enough to drill/cut them as needed.TAKES ON OTHER REVIEWER'S OPINIONS OF THIS PRODUCT:Don't be fooled by the idiots saying this came in blue, it comes with a protective wrap that needs to be peeled off. As to for those claims this fixture doesn't come with lights, IT'S OBVIOUS it doesn't, it's a light fixture, you buy the bulbs separately. Have you people never bought at HD or Lowes?? You don't need to drill anything to get the cover plate off, you simply screw off the metal cylinders that cover the light bulb sockets. Those claims of the product being cheap looking and made are false. Any light fixture meant to hold on to sheetrock can't be very heavy. Let's not be stupid and give a great product bad reviews because you fail to have common sense. This fixture looks absolutely beautiful on my vanity, I am very happy with the product.

basic cheap replacement
Hard to find in that dimension without spending a lot of money so this fixture worked out well. This was an exact replacement at a reasonable cost for what I was removing ...only difference is that t has a chrome finish. It's cheap stuff but worked as it should.

Converted to wall unit to plug in unit w/remote
I havent installed on wall yet, but i put it all together and works perfect.I did not install it into a wall fixture, rather a Craft Light Plug with a switch for easy on/off, also purchased on amazon (amazon recommended it as a frequently bought together item); it has 2 exposed wires on one end.Full instructions that i wish would come with the light:To remove backplate from front plate, grip chrome bulb covers that would sit at bulb base and slightly twist or just pull; the covers will slide off exposing just the bare ceramic; once all 4 are removed, youll be able to remove front plate. For the plug, the plug wont match the instructions; the plug will have two white wires and the light has a white & black. If you look closely at the two white wires one is grooved and the other is smooth. The smooth one is your black wire, the grooved is white. Very important; your light wont work if you get it backwards.Pinch your two wires closely together and insert into orange wire crimper thingy; once your wires are fully inserted, firmly pinch your two wires at topto keep in place and keep twisty orange piece over and over until it stops or wires want to bend with it. Repeat for other set of wires. To test pull on wires to make sure they dont come out and are very firm and tight into crimper.Seperate your black wires from your white wires into seperate sides of box; you want to do this because if any copper wire inside your crimper is exposed and touches exposed wire from the opposite colored set, it could potentially start a fire, so just seperate them for 100% safety.Run your plug wire along the edge and have it coming out side of light.Take the green screw and screw it half way into spot marked ground wire. Take your ground wire thats attached to front plate and make a small hook on end of it. Hook the ground wire around the ground wire screw on light back plate, and screw in the screw the rest of way to tighten the wire firmly behind the screw. At this point, it is fully operational and you can test it by screwing in a bulb and making sure it works. Once verified, remove bulb, put the front plate into place the same way you removed it, remove the blue protective film on the chrome, and put light base pieces back in place. Once you remove film, be mindful of fingerprints. It will look identical to when you first opened box, just with a wire coming out the side and no longer has the blue film on it..Take the small silver screw and put into small screw hole on side of unit; this will help keep it secure so the front/back plate cant come apart unless you remove screw.Screw in your 4 bulbs; some of mine were a lil cock eyed so i unscrewed the bulb and adjusted the ceramic base a tad to align it correctly then put the bulb back in. Hang up, and enjoy!Another note; i plugged a remote sensor box in and plugged this light into it, then put velco on back of remote and attached it to front of vanity so i didnt have to reach go turn off/on, just a nice simple click of a button. The remote sensor plugs into a single outlet and has 2 plugs on it. This leaves one outlet with 2 plugs for the remote, and one normal outlet open for non remote functions. I got a surge protector and plugged my curling iron, hot iron etc into it and then used this for the other port on the remote sensor; so when i use the remote off button for my light, my curling iron etc all turn off and i eliminate fire danger that beauty causes lol
