Beckett Replacement Pre Filter for Pumps

Some aftermarket filters haven't fit tight enough but these work well as intended & last a year or 2 flushing them out periodically. About the same cost as other non-factory brands.

These products work well. However, they should be a bit longer. The mesh does capture various debris items in the pond prior to the water going through the UV light. The difficulty is that I have to change these 2 to 3 times a day while we’re going through the pond cleanup. It would be great if there was a heavy duty option the loud for a larger size to enable pond cleanup.

I have had a pond for years but did not realize that these things need to be replaced more frequently than I was doing. As long as the old one worked I thought I should keep using it. No - These can be flushed clean and used several times but not indefinitely. It makes a huge difference in the frequency that the pump needs to be cleaned and re-cleaned if you keep a fairly new filter on it. Lesson learned and they are worth the money

I bought this extra filter package to go with a new Beckett pump. The filter is 4x bigger than my last pump, and not being encased in a pump cover, is just so quick and easy to change! Now I can give the dirty one a good rinse with the hose, bring in for some bleach treatment for hiding algae, and have it ready to go when replacing is needed.

Work well screening algae from koi pond.

I have ordered other brands and they do not compare to these. We have a 500 gallon gold fish and koi pond that we use a Beckett pond pump in. This time of year in Texas we have lots of heat and algae, the clarifier does a great job killing algae so we have to have good filters. The other brands are clogged within a few hours. With these they'll last overnight so I don't have to worry about my fish running out of oxygen. I do think the price is a little much because your only going to get about a month of really good cleaning with a filter which we switch between 2 filters. I will

I use this for my pond pump, I cut to fit my inlet. It works well. Need to change often if you add bleach or bromine tablets to the water. (usually last about 1 month before needs replacement)
