When I bought this, I was expecting a dusty, used, 2nd hand, computer and keyboard. Opening the professionally packed box, there was a brand new keyboard, mouse, USB wifi, USB Bluetooth, and brand new looking computer. There was not a spec of dust inside the computer and it looked like it had never been used. If this had been used, they did an excellent of refurbishing this unit. All diagnostics checked out well and I am very happy with this purchase.

Okay. I ordered two of the refurbished HP EliteDesk 800 G2s from Amazon. I ordered an i7-6700T and an i5-6500T. I started with the i5. Hard drive not found. I opened it up since I have worked on hundreds of computers (Dell and HP) just like these. It has a SATA SSD in it. I tried making sure the SATA ribbon cable was properly connected to the drive and motherboard. In the process, I snapped the plastic retainer on the socket for the ribbon cable on the motherboard. I cannot get that part anywhere! I then tried the i7. Same problem. No hard drive detected. I opened it, saw the OEM SATA drive. Tried making sure the cable was connected and snapped the stupid tiny piece of plastic again. I have never had a single one snap out of the thousands of machines I fixed while running my business. This day, I broke two! Not only that, but the ribbon cable came out of the SATA end at the same time. I have replacements for those, though. I decided to pop an M.2 NVME drive in, instead of using the SATA SSD. I used my O & O imaging software to pull the Windows 10 Pro from the SATA SSD. I was unable to push it to the M.2 NVME drive. I noticed the firmware on the motherboard was from 2016. I downloaded and installed the 12/2020 BIOS firmware and installed it from a thumb drive through the BIOS utility. I was now able to image the M.2 NVME in the computer with the image obtained from the SATA SSD. I installed and all went well after that! The machine is very fast. I am very pleased with it overall. I'll keep the i7 even though I had to provide an M.2 NVME SSD to get it working, but the i5 is definitely going back. I like Amazon's refund policy. I've been burned in some form or fashion every time I've bought a refurb of anything. (Really all your doing is buying someone else's problem.) I will stick with only buying NEW from now on. If you know what you're doing, this is probably worth it. Just as an aside, these HP EliteDesk 800 G2 minis are nearly identical in every way to the Dell Optiplex 3070 mini. I found myself accidentally going to Dells website to look for the Support Assist software instead of HP's site. LOL

Plugged in and ran perfect. Meets all our needs and is smokin fast. Not hardware or software issues at all - plug it in, get your windows updates (45 minutes), and you can roll. No fancy graphics cards, etc. Comes with a WiFi USB plug in (don't need - wires all the way). Single monitor (has HDMI for two however). Love the small size, and will buy more - compared to the std box, this frees up a LOT of real estate on your desk.

I wanted a powerful, but small and quiet machine to run a Minecraft server. This thing runs it like a champ.

Worked on arrival. Runs dual monitors with DP to HDMI cords on the back. Peppy little thing. No issues with the Windows 10 update or adding Office 2019. Takes almost no space so I keep it on the desk (that's it under the left monitor if you missed it). No regrets in the change from an all in one with a second monitor. Info said some things had been updated just before shipping so I appreciate seller taking the time to at least turn it on before sending it out.

This was a lot different from the "Amazon Renewed" systems I normally get. First the box was clearly old and worn. No problem, it's not new I just want a computer that works. Opening box was a little odd. The computer was wrapped in (not very much) bubble wrap with no tape and was rattling around in the box. There was what appeared to be a new mouse and keyboard in boxes ratting around as well and what appeared to be a reasonably new power supply but it was just thrown in the box - no packing at all. I set up the computer with the power supply and my monitor and - nothing. Dead. As I was packing it up to return I noticed there was only one screw holding it together and all the other fasteners were missing. Can't recommend this.

Ordered this on June 22 and it was delivered on June 26. Included were the computer, power cord, wireless keyboard, wireless mouse, and USB WIFI adapter. The wireless keyboard required one AAA battery and the wireless mouse required two AAA batteries. The USB adapter for the wireless keyboard/wireless mouse was stored in the back of the mouse where the batteries go. Computer setup was smooth and without any issues. Computer is quiet and fast (whether navigating between different folders or browsing online). Very pleased with this.

It was time for our small business to get newer computers, and these provide excellent value and the performance upgrade we needed. Of the four machines ordered, one wasn't quite right, but customer support was excellent, and a replacement was quickly dispatched. I'll likely be ordering a couple more from these folks!

Note: I don't know for sure if some of the issues mentioned below are caused by the unit or by Windows 10 however I've never encountered these issues in past years while using Windows 10 on other computers. The good: While I'm using the computer it works fine and the performance is decent for a business computer. I can have lots of internet tabs open with no noticeable loss of performance however the issues mentioned below are a deal breaker of course and I'm looking for a replacement now. The bad: The unit has two display ports for dual monitors and occasionally one port will not be active after booting or while logged in and unlocking the screen. At that point need to remove one or both monitor cables and it might correct itself or need to reboot. Many times when programs are open and the computer is locked (CTRL+ALT+DEL) or if the screens are set to turn off, when the machine is unlocked or activated all the open software windows are moved to the primary monitor and they are resized to be much smaller so you have to move them back to position and resize them. To prevent this I need to close all the windows before locking the computer just so they will re-open back to their desired positions. (I'm assuming this has something to do with the unit deactivating one of the monitor ports rather than it being a Windows 10 issue.) Sometimes after booting up, the USB keyboard is not active and need to unplug it then plug it back in to be able to login or need to use the mouse to reboot and hope the keyboard becomes active on the next go. (this keyboard was used on another computer for several years with none of these issues). The USB wifi device that came with the unit could barely get a signal and fully failed within a couple weeks. This unit doesn't meet the requirements for installing Windows 11 and not sure if it's possible to work around that by following the guides which instruct how to "fake it" and install Windows 11 anyway. Recently the unit wouldn't boot and had to press/reset the power button several times until it would activate the hard disk.

Quick & fast - Just not windows 11 Compatible

I love how fast these tiny PCs are. Windows 10 runs great on them & I'm very happy with the storage size & 6 USB ports. We bought a few on these for the office & so far, everyone is happy. Product arrived quickly and had minimal cosmetic damage. Highly recommended.
