Perfect Podcast Mic
I am a professional producer and LOVE this mic --I send it around to all my non-professional podcast participants. I am happy with it for three main reasons: 1) it sounds great - has a very flat/balanced sensitivity curve and gives us a lot of room to work with in post - plus, since it's a dynamic mic, it does a good job of dropping out incidental room noise for people working from home (different than a condenser mic which is generally much more sensitive, unnecessarily so for most podcasting applications) 2) it's easy to connect and "get it right" - this mic connects simply with an included usb cable and appears clearly without any fuss or drivers as an audio device in every platform you'd use (zoom, teams, zencastr, riverside, and all over your system settings), Plus it automatically sends talkback audio through your headphones which helps non-professionals with sounding better on a mic because they can hear themselves speaking -- this is SUPER helpful for making people sound better on a mic. it has an on/off switch which gives you con 3) it's affordable and has GREAT build quality. This is a mic you will have for a long time. My only small suggestion for Audio Technica (or anyone buying this) would be to include a FOAM BALL windscreen in the box. You don't absolutely need one, it just really helps knock out about 99% of plosives for most uses, at 3-6" away from the mic and I consider it essential $3 modification for non-pros using microphones. Also, for anyone considering buying this mic for long-form podcasting or zoom/teams meeting uses, get it in one of the many "kits" available on Amazon which includes a boom arm and shock mount, juts so you dont have to hold it - this is a bit better as the desktop stand is pretty short, and only for very basic use.

Nice mic. Awful desktop stand. Good thing this kit comes with boom stand!
Audio quality seems excellent, and the included boom stand, shock mount and pop screen all make this a much better recording set up. The basic mic includes its own little plastic desktop stand. I suggest you immediately dump that stand into an appropriate recycle bin. I, and others online, had difficulty threading the stand into the mic holder. Getting it out was way more difficult and I had to resort to using a vice to remove it without breaking it. The desktop stand was flimsy at best, and did not provide a mechanism to rotate the mic relative to the stand, leaving it oddly asymmetric. In contrast, the included boom stand is okay. Construction is fairly low quality and reminds me of cheap college desk lamps in the 80's. Fortunately, it doesn't have to do much, so it seems adequate. The shock mount and pop filter look to be of significantly higher quality and both appear to work well. As for the mic itself, I did run into an issue under Windows 10 that my system was trying to use the mic as an output device as well as an input device. Easy to fix in the settings, but could confuse some people as to to why their speakers stop working. The bottom line is that while the boom stand is a bit flimsy, this bundle does yield a very serviceable set up which produces excellent audio quality for a very modest price. I would say that this rig achieves a really good balance of using cheap parts where it doesn't impact audio quality, and good parts where they do.

Exactly what I needed
I was a little concerned that this wouldn’t extend far enough because my desk is pretty deep. I was very happy when it was the perfect size. Very sturdy and easy to adjust. Holds my mic perfectly and the shock absorber works like a charm. The mic itself is prob the best bang for your buck mic on the market. Super clear audio and doesn’t pick up background noises.

Good Value For Money
Great value for money. It's definitely a beginner's setup, but it's not a toy. I purchased a similar setup from a different brand about a year ago. It was complete garbage. This is a legit microphone, especially for the price. And the boom is robust enough. It's not what you'd call "heavy duty" , but if you'll take the time to properly set it up and anchor it securely, then it functions just fine. I would just be cautious about how rough you are when you move it around. Overall, the whole thing is great. Especially for the price.

Best value
This microphone really impressed me. My PC is not built for silent operation, and the A/C or fans are running all year long. It deals with the high noise ceiling well, cancelling all background noise without sacrificing recording quality. It really does have incredible clarity and noise cancellation for this price point. Now for the cons. The included USB-C cable is comically short (Idk if this is even 6ft), I had to use an extension for good cable management. The blue power indicator never changes color or turns off, even though there is a manual on/off switch right next to it. At least it doesn't blink repeatedly. The noise cancellation in this mic doesn't play nice with Discord's voice filters. I'd recommend disabling them, or at the very least the noise and echo cancellation. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this product. This is the sleeper Blue Yeti killer. It's not as sexy, but it costs around the same and I dare say the ATR2100x performs better.
