These pedals are very nice for recreational riding. They are about as easy to clip-in as the (three-bolt) SPD-SL pedals they replaced on my road bike. The color looks great with (newer) Shimano Ultegra components. They are light weight - ~280-gram. These allow one to wear touring shoes with the two-bolt steel cleats that are commonly found on many bike shoes. It simplifies ride preparation, as the same shoe cleats work on all my bikes!

I ride SPD-style pedals regardless of the type of bike or the terrain on which I'm riding. For years (12-15) I rode lower-cost SPD pedals on all my bikes. When time came to get a new road bike, I learned that Shimano had a higher-quality SPD road pedal. I looked at them, hemmed and hawed and then bought a pair, installed them on the new bike, and fell in love. These are very smooth in all matters: spindle bearings, finish, tension adjustment for holding the cleats on the soles of bike shoes, ease of entry when connecting cleats into the pedals, and they look really nice. Never going back.

I had the older version of these and moved my old ones to my wife's bike. These are reasonably light, but still offer a good platform to stand on. I've always used SPD clipless pedals. They work for me and are what I need.

This is a great option if you're looking for a one-sided SPD pedal. It is as easy to install as any pedal, very light & not difficult to clip into. You do have to pay a little more attention to clip into than a double-sided pedal but in my opinion, it's worth it because it's metal, durable, & light.

Great pedals for road use with SPD type cleats and shoes. These pedals allow me to wear my 2 bolt cleat Shimano shoes on both road and gravel bikes with compatible SPD platforms.

The same pedal as Shimano ES-600. My favorite one-sided SPD pedal and much lighter than others. I have these on all my bikes.

I wanted an spd pedal for a road bike so I can still walk normal in the shoes and these seemed like the best bet. For starters, they look really snazzy and speedy. They feel much more powerful, tight and stable than my old mountain bike pedals. Changing my review from 4 to 5 after I noticed something.. IMPORTANT TIP: I noticed they didn't spin very freely when I first got them but figured they'd break in. After 500 miles, they still hadn't loosened up. I found that if I loosened the nut on the base of them and unscrewed them and then simply tightened them back down, they performed remarkably smoother and would spin much more freely. I am not sure where it comes from or why it matters, but each time when I did this, a little squirt of grease came squishing out of the gasket next to the pedal. I think they may simply be overpacked from the manufacturer?

I like two-bolt systems and didn't want to switch to three-bolt when I got a new road bike, so I bought these. They've worked out fantastic.

Great option to run a SPD on road bike for winter riding. Looks so much better than a MTB pedal and allows to leave the road shoes at home and run walkable SPD shoes.

Come per tutti i prodotti Shimano, la qualità è eccellente e la leggerezza è notevole, rendendoli ideali per utenti come me che utilizzano questo attacco anche su bici da corsa. Unico appunto, la verniciatura risulta leggermente più delicata rispetto agli XTR, che ho sempre utilizzato e che, dopo anni di utilizzo, si presentano ancora in condizioni perfette, sebbene la qualità superiore di questi ultimi comporti un costo più che doppio.
