I bought this last week for remote learning from home and it is simply amazing. I have taught for 18yrs and seen many Doc cameras come and go.... By far this little guy is the most versatile, compact (size of a lg smart phone), functional, sharp and portable of any quality camera! It can be utilized in so many ways. The fact that it can double as a 2k web camera that is clearer than my 4k dedicated web cam makes it worth alone. The structural build and software build are easy to use for even the least tech savvy user! I sent the link out to fellow colleagues and before I knew it they were sold out and rightly so! Please build more Okiolab.

This little gem is perfect for teaching from home. It plugs into your computer via USB cable, easy! You need the free google chrome app. I share my screen via zoom or meet to show my students what I need to. Perfect, but there is so much more it does, you can record right from the device and assign it to google classroom and download to drive. You can do stop animation, take screen shots and place it right into slides, doc, etc, you can use it as a web cam and microphone. You name it. This is a gem of a device and frankly I don’t know how I taught from home without it! It folds down to almost nothing which makes it easy to throw in your bag when you are required to teach from your school site. You won’t regret this purchase, I know I did not! The only con I can think of is that it does not have a light, so you may need to be close to a desk lamp if your room does not have adequate light. But that would not stop me from buying this!

I’ve been using this camera for remote teaching for a few months now. I teach elementary grades and it is perfect for projecting picture books. The kids “pin” me in Microsoft Teams (far inferior to Zoom for teaching, but out school district won’t let us use Zoom—but that’s another story). When I read a small print chapter book and want kids to be able to see the text and follow along, the camera is not clear enough. I’ve tried adjusting the focus button(s) on the top of the camera unit, but it doesn’t seem to do anything. The camera works well enough to show a drawing, or my handwriting, clearly enough though. The adjustable arm is great, though it often takes a bit of fiddling around to get it lined up right, but I think that’s more to do with my crammed table space. That said, the camera doesn’t really center on the pad, so when I am positioning a book I just ignore the pad and usually have the book set half on the pad and half on the table. Since the pad is very thin, this doesn’t make a difference. It’s nothing like the document cameras we have in school, of course, but for the cost and convenience (those school models are bulky and heavy and need special software and cables to set up) it does everything I need it to to successfully teach my 2nd and 3rd graders. Regarding the lack of a built in light, it’s not really an issue fir me. It works well with natural daylight and if it’s a darker day I just move my ring lamp closer. Overall, I am very happy with this product. It has been a game changer for me as a remote teacher, and for the price and portability—a bargain.

I use it daily. It’s pretty simple to plug and play-however, be aware that things will show up mirrored for you on your screen but it looks correct to the viewers at the other end. I’m very impressed with the quality for the price and will be purchasing a second one for my other office.

I have had this document camera now for nearly 5 years. I had bought it during Covid for online teaching and now have used it daily in my classroom since. It is compact and is easy to transport if I need to. It is really "plug it in and go" and works really well. I use it to show work to the students on the smartboard and students can also bring their work up to share with the class. It has been the best investment I have made for my teaching!

I had my doubts because I was looking for a 12MP camera. After lots of time researching and reading reviews I decided to give this docu camera a chance, and ooohhhh boy, what a great purchase. I used it already for several virtual tutoring sessions over Google Meet and i am very impressed with the performance. One thing worth mentioning is that I even used the camera over an iPad (solving math problems with the pencil), and the picture quality was very good, not complains from students about glare, or missing focus... really really good. Pros: lightweight, small, controls are both in the camera and in the software you download, great video quality. Cons: stay tuned, i haven't found any yet but will update as soon as I find one : )

This camera is easy to use. The first time I used it I had no problems. The second time I tried to use it, it wouldn't turn on, I'm student teaching and I feel like I've wasted a lot of time trying to get the camera going. I unplugged and plugged it in again and it shut down my laptop. Now it just takes a long time to share my screen, so I haven't been able to use it.

Je l'utilise pour faire des master-classes et je ne suis pas déçu du tout. Le focus se fait parfaitement et simplement même lorsque que je filme un papier puis un écran.

Positiv: sehr platzsparend zum Aufbewahren (20cmx11cmx5cm) vergleichbare Bildqualität mit teureren Geräten funktioniert einwandfrei sehr einfach zum Handhaben: einmalig App heruntergeladen (Beschreibung dazu gibt es), Dokumentenkamera zusammenbauen - max. 1min Zeitaufwand (spätestens, wenn man diese zusammenbaut, merkt man, dass in dieser Einfachheit sehr viel sinnvolle Gedanken stecken von denjenigen, die diese konstruiert haben) Verbinden mit Laptop über USB-Kabel Bisher habe ich folgende Funktionen genutzt: Vergrößerung/Verkleinerung Foto unterschiedliche Helligkeitsstufen Negativ: fällt mir nach etlichen Monaten Dauernutzung nichts ein Klare Kaufempfehlung, falls jemand eine preiswerte Dokumentenkamera sucht, die platzsparend aufzubewahren ist.
