Amazingly inspiring and instructive
A very entertaining look at some fantastic and whimsical carvings by some very talented carvers. I think the real value is being able to mentally store all of the tips of individual carvers and apply what works best for your particular style. Very well done, presented and organized with bios, examples, ample photographic angles and clarity, step by step and carving progression. This classifies as a coffee table book, impossible not to like, a wealth of inspiration and chuckles! Recommended!

Excellent survey of CCA carvers and styles
This book deviates from previous titles by the CCA and it is well worth it. Although some of the illustrations are not as complete as a single topic book might be, it does illustrated numerous styles and approaches to carving. A truly excellent addition to this amazing group of artists.

Good CCA book
This is a great reference book for caricature carvers simply because of Chris Hammmack's step by step feature. I enjoyed the other CCA carvers; however, there was merely a snipet of each ones work. Overall, I would say the book was worth its price.

Learned a lot
I really love the humor in this book. The photos are very good and the descriptions are pretty good. Sometimes I feel like they jumped ahead a little, and I was looking form some information on a cut here or how did they make that cut and what type of knife did the use. But all in all, I learne a lot from the info provided.

Um livro , que faz falta a qualquer pessoa que se dedique a fazer escultura de caricaturas. Pessoalmente gostei bastante, tanto do passo a passo por Chris Hammack, como das ideias de outros escultores. Chegou 1 dia antes do que previam, posso dizer que gostei bastante da compra e que recomendo. Um grande livro .

A brilliant guide and very enjoyable to browse
An excellent guide to caricature carving. The section by Chris Hammack gives good pointers to how to carve the pitcher featured on the front cover. The rest of the book with a featured caricature, a bio and information on the carving from each carver made very interesting reading. A further section with drawings of some of the carvings has given me something to aim at with my future carvings.
