Buy it.
I bought a Guard Dog years back and it quickly became the only way I would haul a 4 wheeler in the pickup bed. Fast, easy and secure. No worrying if straps become slack, stretched or broke. Just load, lock and forget. I loaded my atv in a fraction of the time that my buddy did using straps. About 4 1/2 years or so ago, I was hit from behind (and front) in a multi truck collision. My 4 wheeler was in the pickup bed and it stayed put, thanks to my Guard Dog. The 2 trucks behind me were totaled. The one that was pushed into me had an inverted frame, broken driver's seat and bent steering wheel, that's how violent of an impact it was. If I had been using straps to secure my ATV, I'm not so sure that they or the anchor points wouldn't have broken or torn loose causing the ATV to hit the cab and back window. My truck was damaged of course (could've been a lot worse) but my Guard Dog was just barely damaged (a very slight bend) and I was able to keep using it all these years. Fast forward to April 2021 and once again I was hit from behind in a multi truck collision and once again the truck that was pushed into me was totaled. My Guard Dog had now prevented my ATV from hitting the back of the pickup cab twice, although now it was bent beyond use. The Guard Dog saved my brand new truck from more damage than just a tailgate. Again. The Guard Dog is the only way I will haul an ATV in a pickup bed. For me, it has proven its effectiveness twice and prevented further damage to my trucks. As a bonus, it locks several different ways so you can also lock up your ramps and you can even tow a small trailer with it. If I recall correctly, there is a 2k lb towing capacity. Here are some pics of the accidents and the old Guard Dog alongside the new one. There are some differences so I hope the new one holds up as well as the old did. Flo and her insurance minions FINALLY reimbursed me for my Guard Dog so I'm ordering a new one.........Buy it.

heavy duty, works for polaris 570 2up.
Easy to use, instructions are easy to follow. No slack or movement once it is set in place. This is heavy duty steel so I'm not worried about it shifting or breaking loose. Fits a 2019 570 2up without a problem and can adjust for all other quads.

Works but requires full size truck bed.
This was originally purchased some time ago while I had a pickup with a standard 6’ bed. Prior to getting it out of the box I changed vehicles. The new truck has a 5’6” bed. I finally got around to trying my atv in the back of the new vehicle this weekend. Regrettably, the “Guard Dog” doesn’t work with the new vehicle. The main receiver shaft doesn’t have enough length to allow the coupler head to be connected to the atv. I do have a truck box but it is a slim design, only taking up 12” of bed space. If it were not for this most likely the unit would hook up just fine. From what I measured there needs to be about 9” more length on the main receiver shaft. When time permits I am going to try it on my neighbor’s truck and atv since his is a standard 6’ bed. I will say the unit seems very strong and would likely hold the atv securely. The “Shakenator” looks and feels like a good design and definitely felt solid.

HEAVY DUTY!!
Finally a company that knows the meaning of heavy duty! Plus a Company that stands by their product. When I received this and was putting it together, I noticed there was a weld missing on the tongue portion. I still used the product and it worked AWESOME! When I returned from my trip, I called the Company directly and they said that it was an oversight on their part. He said he was going to have a talk with his welders. This was on a Friday, and by the following Tuesday they shipped me a replacement free of charge. Now that's what customer service is all about. This is a Great American Company. Keep up the good work! Phil from Eagle WI

Secure your ATV in your truck bed
It makes it easier to take my ATV to the woods, not having to deal with a trailer. I made a couple of modifications so it would be easier to use my ramp to unload the ATV Locks the ATV in better than straps

Work great, very easy to use.
Works awesome and very easy to use. Now I don’t need to use any other tie downs, just this one mount. It is built really well. I recommend this to every I know with an ATV

Works great and makes loading the ATV easy
Works well on keeping the atv secure while transporting it. Easy to load and secure. Only complaint I have it the Slack-N-Ator 4 broke. I am going to have to buy a heavier duty one for the hitch. I bought one for the hitch on the ATV and it works well.
