This EVA foam is fantastic quality and definitely very High Density foam. It is a dream to work with, so easy to , cut, sand and shape with a heat gun and holds its shape the best I’ve seen, 85 kg absolutely makes a difference . “Ultra High Density” for sure! Also, if you need to layer it, which I did, the fact that it is smooth on both sides makes it so easy. Layering is truly a piece of cake with this foam. And let’s not forget to mention that it is a nice large cut of foam, awesome to work with and not have to piece together smaller sections if you don’t want to. So the bottom line: is that this EVA Foam is amazing for Cosplay and costuming which you can get into your hands in a couple of days thanks to Amazon’s quick shipping. This is my foam of choice. It's much better quality than most other foams I've tried using over the years. The 2mm is about the same as most other foams, though I will say I've yet to see any imperfections in the foam which is a huge plus. The 4mm is where the high density becomes more apparent. There is a marked difference between the 'regular' eva foam and this high-density foam. It will hold a curved shape, but cannot support its own weight and will need a support for most larger pieces. The 6mm is amazing! The high density quality is immediately known upon first feel. It sands beautifully, dremels just as well as long as you use a 120 grit drum, and it holds shape without much support. I've used only a little of the 8mm, but it holds its own weight well even for larger projects. When layered over a sturdy base, it is fantastic to use for huge props. Overall I would recommend this product to any costume/prop maker enthusiastically.

This foam is fantastic! Even right out of the box it's leagues ahead of the craft foam I had been using to make my cosplay armor. The ultra high density sets it apart, making it not only more durable, but makes every step of the foamsmithing process that much easier. It cuts like a dream (make sure your x-acto is sharpened, of course), sands down into beautiful shapes easily, holds it shape when heated and molded, and its smooth surface means that it will take primer and paint without any additional sanding or prep. The Foamory also includes a handy booklet with tips and tricks for working with their foam. Between this attention to detail and the excellent product I will certainly be recommending them to friends and ordering from them for my future EVA foam needs!

Its a good company and good foam but one of the 3 rolls I received has a chunk ripped out of it like it was chewed on by a machine. These rolls are to expensive to be losing sections to damage before you even open them.

I tried one of the cheaper EVA foams out there on Amazon, and they were flimsy, hard to mold with heat and very porous. I needed to coat them with at least 3 layers of primer and heating them wouldn't make them keep their shape. I decided to jump the gun and buy this high density foam, and I regret ever buying the cheaper foam! This is really all you need for cosplay and armor, it's so easy to work with! One side is very smooth while the other is a bit more porous, so it was easier to heat up the porous side and shape it, while the other side was great for painting! I still primed it, but only needed one layer and the paint went on it so smoothly. As you can see in my picture, I created an arm bracer and molding it was easy! It definitely kept its shape after heating it with a heat gun and it's sturdy, so I know it won't collapse on me while I'll be wearing it! This is definitely a no brainer if you want to save time and headaches and create amazing cosplays! This is my first time creating cosplay armor by the way, so this is definitely beginner friendly too.

This reviews is from the perspective of a cosplayer. There is no doubt this is the best eva foam ive ever used in terms of quality. It cuts so smoothly it makes me question all the other foam ive ever used, it heats easily and sands like a dream. If you want foam to make a prop, weapon, or something that wont need to move much, this is your dream foam. However this is not nearly as much foam as i expected for the price. I will not be able to make my full costume using this and its too pricey to buy another roll just for a couple armor pieces. You are absolutely getting quality over quantity here. Its enough to make any prop i could think of and would be the best quality to work with, but if you need enough for a BIG project, be prepared to buy two!

Very sturdy and easy to work with- I'm a beginner working with foam, but when I tell you this stuff can be a lifesaver- can't find a belt you're looking for for a cosplay? You can just cut and glue fabric down to it - don't like how the shape of a mainstream cosplay pieces fit your body? Make them yourself or alter them with this stuff- I've used this for several projects now, and every time I'm happy with how it works and performs while running around at conventions. (In the pics, I put together the Kurogiri neckbrace, DaisyMae belt + solid base in the basket to glue in the turnips, and Kirishima's shoulder gaurds and belt) if this stuff can hold up as a belt and neck brace for a plus size cosplayer running around, then that shows this stuff is good. XD

Real good eva foam! unrolled almost perfectly and super easy cutting and shaping. 10/10 Recommend buying from these guys :)
