Works great!
What a life saver! Our refrigerator had problems with the ice maker leaking. My husband had me buy this part & he installed it. It solved the problem. Saving us so much time & money! Can you imagine the hassle of running around town to find the part or calling a repair worker? The horror! Lol Anyway I am very pleased. It's been installed for a few weeks & it's working completely fine.

works fine
I actually saved myself buying this part for $24 instead of the one I was supposed to use: DA62-02439C which is priced at $88. The part of the valve that wears out is the blue piece on top with the actual valves in it. The rest is just brackets and wires. The blue valve piece here looks pretty much identical to the one on DA62-02439C. So I bought this $24 one and then just popped the 4 metal tabs up, swapped the new value in the old bracket, pushed the tabs back down and viola, $64 saved. So why does Samsung charge $88 to replace a part which is obviously quite a lot cheaper to make? Because they can I guess. Adding insult to injury to someone who bought a $2500 fridge 3 years ago and it's falling apart.

Good service!
Exact fit, easy install, great price, too bad it didn't fix my problem. But the great price made it easier to swallow. Thanks!!

Almost a Perfect Replacement
My icemaker in my SAMSUNG RSG257AARS refrigerator kept freezing up where the drip tube drops water into the ice tray. I blew a lot of time fiddling around in there and researching online before concluding that it's probably the water inlet valve. I think that when the icemaker was not signaling the valve to fill the tray, the valve would not default back to a fully closed state; some tiny bit of water was allowed to dribble in slowly, freezing, blocking drip tube, and ultimately leaking down the refrigerator door. So this inlet valve looks somewhat like mine and the Amazon website said it was compatible with my refrigerator. But two things are much different. First, this replacement valve has nice male push on connector ends. The one in my fridge, however, has the wire going into the valve with no connector, I had to cut. Second, the mounting bracket is entirely different. I thought that it would be easy to swap with my current bracket, but the metal brackets are shaped around the valve and I didn't want to attempt to separate them. Alright so does it work? Yes this valve works great so far. Without the mounting bracket, the valve is kind of left to "float" there, suspended by the three water tubes. See the attached picture. Water dispensing works now, and I've witnessed a proper ice try fill. It will be a couple days after ice is made to capacity before I can tell if this solved my problem. While this is a review about this valve, let me say that this Samsung refrigerator has been nothing but problems since we've had it. This icemaker difficulty, water down the door, the ice door spring broke and fell into our cup as we were dispensing ice. I'll buy Samsung monitors and TV's, but this is the last appliance.

Water and Ice valve
This valve is Samsung 's only replacement for certain models. It controls the water when you push the drinking water or Ice release on the refrigerators front door. It is common fault on these models they sell. It easy to troubleshoot either no ice or no water by simply first seeing if water goes into to the valve at rear bottom of refrigerator. If so then it is this valve function failure. I replaced this one for a friend, but 2 years before he had the same valve replaces at a cost of $255 by a appliance repairman. It is easy to replace and it appears to be a common problem of Samsung!

Delivered as promised
Perfectly matched the old one, was easily installed, my only problem was my own making because I had not ordered a replacement water filter at the same time and now I canโt test it until the new filter comes.

Works great - for a while
This is my second one. The first one lasted almost exactly 2 years before the dispenser valve failed. Cheap as chips but inconvenient to keep replacing - the original OEM part lasted almost 10 years, even that is not acceptable in my mind
