**Q: Does this help with hard water stains on cars?**
A: I bought 2 of these and both failed with in 2 weeks. The clear plastic body cracked and leaked. They also will not prevent hard water stains.

**Q: Can the filters be replaced? Or is this unit disposable?**
A: Mine came with two filters and they're fairly robust so you can wash them.

**Q: There are 5/8 and 3/4 garden hoses, will iether size work fine?**
A: The fittings on the hose should be the same.

**Q: Is a deeper jar and screen available?**
A: It comes with 2 screens. No longer or deeper jar

This hose filter is very useful for screening out grit and such that can clog sprinklers. Be aware that the clear plastic cylinder in which the filter sits weakens so much in sunlight that it eventually breaks off after a season or two of use. It would be helpful to be able to purchase a new cylinder rather than toss out the rest of the unit, but one is not offered.
