Works great. I did have a small leak at the brass fitting. Took it apart and used pipe dope on it. Seemed to have stopped the leak. Decent size for rain water irrigation pump.

Perfect for sprinkler that operates with well water and programable sprinklers. It solve the problem of just one single small mesh that clog and reduce the pressure on the sprinkler. With this you can inspect the amount of small particles and easily remove and clean the filter

This hose filter is very useful for screening out grit and such that can clog sprinklers. Be aware that the clear plastic cylinder in which the filter sits weakens so much in sunlight that it eventually breaks off after a season or two of use. It would be helpful to be able to purchase a new cylinder rather than toss out the rest of the unit, but one is not offered.

Got this for our clothes washer hook up. We get so much sediment in the water with it being a country water system that’s from lakes. This works great and is easy to clean. Doesn’t leak if you make sure everything is lined up and sealed tight.

PLEASE do not buy this if you are using this indoors. My experience was just like some of the other reviews here, I loved it at first! For about 5 months it worked very well and cleaned up the sediment on the way to my washing machine. And then I woke up at 3: 00 AM in the morning to hear a fountain. Water was spraying OUT OF THE BOTTOM! There is no movement here where I had the filter installed at all , this only happened under normal water pressure. Screwing this in tighter will not fix the problem, that's what I thought at first. Now I have to deal with serious water damage! There is manufacturing issues with this product.

This is a great filter for the price. I use it to filter water from a rain barrel going into a pump. Other products have to have an adapter to connect a hose. This one connects right up and you get a spare screen.

So far so good , works well for garden hose on well water. No more clogged sprinklers. Purchased second one for front faucet. Just make sure you attach to faucet so it doesn't get broken. Seems some of reviews state it broke easy I have taken it apart and find it works just like whole house filter. Remember to bring inside if your going to have a frost or freeze warning. But, easy to use , size as expected plastic material but metal connectors, threading works with standard garden faucet and hose

Purchased for a cold water washer machine intake for sediment control; it works very well. However, failure rates of filter cups posted here are alarming, pressurized lines hooked to this filter should almost certainly never be left unattended. Manufacturing defects: some *bleeep*ing genius thought they could get away with leaving the plastic molding seams unfinished on the mating surface of the body and filter cup. This creates a leak. Good job manufacturers! Some light sanding with fine sandpaper atop a flat surface cures this issue, but it's a problem that should not exist. Speaking of sealing; holy *bleep* it's impossible. After multiple attempts, aforementioned sanding procedure and much profanity, it took faucet grease and thread tape to finally keep this thing from leaking. Fingers crossed, knock on wood, it's currently doing its job very well. Combined with an extension hose (from the washer mixing valve to the filter) it's catching small particulates nicely. -Still fearful of the canister cracking and dread the day of having to clean out the sediment though. A final note: there's a directional arrow on the unit as if it mattered on which side of the filter the sediment was captured. It does not. So feel free to install as your application requires.

Filter as described. Ready to use when received, simply attach to the water source and to the hose. The clear sediment bowl makes it easy to see if sediment is accumulating. When disconnected it is easy to drain.
