What is cob (chip on board) technology?  what makes it different?

Chip On Board Technology is a newer technology of LED packaging for LED light engines. Multi LED chips are packaged together as one lighting module. When it light up, it looks like a lighting panel. The difference is COB technology only requires one or 2 circuits for the whole chip so you can fit many LED’s on the board, whereas old SMD’s and T LED’s must use 1 circuit per LED so you can only fit a few LED’s on a board. We can fit 100 LED’s where we could only fit 10 before. Having more LED’s on 1 board makes a brighter more efficient light. CAT Lights  MANUFACTURER  answered on July 20, 2017

ABS body Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) (chemical formula (C8H8)x·​(C4H6)y·​(C3H3N)z) is a common thermoplastic polymer. Its glass transition temperature is approximately 105 °C (221 °F).2 ABS is amorphous and therefore has no true melting point.ABS is a terpolymer made by polymerizing styrene and acrylonitrile in the presence of polybutadiene. The proportions can vary from 15 to 35% acrylonitrile, 5 to 30% butadiene and 40 to 60% styrene. The result is a long chain of polybutadiene criss-crossed with shorter chains of poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile). The nitrile groups from neighboring chains, being polar, attract each other and bind the chains together, making ABS stronger than pure polystyrene. The styrene gives the plastic a shiny, impervious surface. The polybutadiene, a rubbery substance, provides toughness even at low temperatures.
