Not a good choice for maple syrup filtering. All my finished (filtered) syrup is absolutely full of niter.

Highly recommended by people who know preparedness. 1 micron filtration is excellent. Quality of bag is excellent. We bought this to use as a pre-filter for emergency preparedness to supplement our regular supplies. Well also use part of primitive camping supplies.

I use them in my leaf/debris filter. They work extremely will for removing fine particles from the water and pet hair before the sand filter. I use one filter a week. Take it out, hose it off, and when I have a couple, I throw them in the washing machine. Water is crystal clear.

This sock performs well. It is big enough to process quite a lot of liquid quickly.
