OMG ... What was that?
So I was trolling TikTok and getting depressed with political posts and dances I can no longer do when I was hit with an ad for Biria Taco balls. Since I trust TikTok marketplace about the same as I do my high school friends that failed science and now give medical advice; I searched Amazon for a real option. I decided to buy this little gem and try it. I decided to test it on a cheap piece of pork loin I got on BOGO from my local Publix (FL!). I cut up 1.5 sweet onions, diced the 2lb loin into manageable sizes, 1/2 the container, and about 1.5 cups of water (could've done 2). Placed the crock pot on "set it and forget it" for 5 hours. He's my review: Smell/Look 5/5 The sauce looked potent and flavorful right out of the plastic jar. The robust color told me this was made by a 65yr old nana from Mexico. After about 2 hours, I couldn't stand it and had to do a full sniff test 👃 ... I wish this was a cologne. Taste 5/5* Wait ... What was that? That wasn't supposed to be so sweet and flavorful. I'm assuming I put to many sweet onions in the batch because the taste was sweet and delicious (not what I was expecting). I thought someone tampered with the sauce but then I remembered the crap-ton of onions I added which might have adjusted the DNA. I went ahead and added oil to a hot pan, dipped my soft shell in the heavenly juices, added some meat, fresh ground white sharp cheese, waited a minute, folded, and patiently awaited greatness. I did this 3x and then created a consume bowl to dip my prizes in. WHOLLY F***BALLS BATMAN ... Delicious 😋. Value ??/?? Who cares! I ran straight to these comments like a paparazzi with a secret so I could share the "tea". Damn this was good. Then I placed an order for 3 more jars. Summary: This was so damn simple and flavorful that I can't wait to try this on a real roast. What did I learn? 1/2 jar + 2 cups of water for 2lbs of meat. Add more water if you want more drip. Add celantro and raw onions for texture. Add a splash of Sriracha, less onion to reduce sweetness and add a kick. Enjoy!

Will buy again, beginner friendly, easy to use, great flavor!
Container arrived with seal intact and not leaking (unlike other reviews). It came packaged in a brown envelope. I could smell it through the package, which made me nervous, but it was fine. This is really good and easy to use! I didn’t find it salty. I forgot to “marinade” my roast prior to using this, but I just seasoned and seared the meat and poured it over the meat in the crock pot (8 hours/Low) and added half a box of beef bone broth and some sliced onions. I used a little over 3.5 pounds of chuck roast and I cut them in big chunks. I wish I used the entire container of bone broth, as I would have loved more consommé after it was done and for leftovers! I made Quesabirria tacos. Wish there were smaller containers, I used maybe half? I will freeze the rest. This is cheaper than those “Birria Bombs” that are viral. I would buy this again!

Great flavor!
My daughter in law first ordered this for me to flavor tamale masa. I love the flavor it adds!! Just don’t taste it out of the jar! lol Definitely needs to be diluted!

Delicious, but not spicy
I became addicted to birria. I make it like twice a month. Always from scratch. My sister told me about this, and figured I'd try it. Omg! Game changer! Just dump in with your meat and liquid. It was very good. I usually make mine with a Kick. This was not spicy, but still very delicious. I used half the jar for about 6 lb of roast. Highly recommend when you won't be there but don't want to go through making the sauce from scratch.

BIRRIA in an INSTANT!! 😎👍
Do you have some beef roast in the fridge? Do you have an insta-pot (High Pressure Cooker)? Do you have Chef Merito Birria Marinade??? Then you have everything you need to make instant Birria!! We just tried this over the weekend. (Sorry, no pictures) Had about 3 lbs of shoulder roast and placed it into the instapot. Added about a 3rd of a can of Birria Marinade and equal amount of water. Set it to medium for about 1.5 hours and TADDA* Birria was done!! Just went in there with a couple of forks to pull all the meat apart and let it sit in it's juices. Made the whole house smell like a Mexican restaurant! On a hot cast iron pan, I melted some bacon grease (can use pork lard, beef tallow or butter) and brought it up to medium high. I dipped a tortilla in the Birria juice and fried one side, flipped, added cheese and and Birria meat into it and folded, flipped one more time and serve!... Best Birria tacos I have had in a long long time!! 😎👍

Great taste, bad packaging
This is great spice sauce, my only complaint is even though they tape up the lids, a lot of the time they come broken and leaking. I don’t understand why they don’t wrap them up tight in bubble wrap…it’s a mystery
