I needed these covers because my mom who has dementia, kept turning all the light switches off throughout the house, unfortunately 3 of them powered our outdoor security cameras, so since she can't comprehend to not do that, we covered the affected ones. These covers are perfect! We even installed them basically upside down so the side opening is on the inside, next to the other switch, which requires more effort to turn off. It's the perfect deterrent, the acrylic is clear so it doesn't mess up the decor. This was a great economical solution for us. They're already helping, we received them very quickly and install was super easy, because you use the screws that's already holding the light switch plate on the wall. We couldn't be more satisfied with them.

Works as expected and transparent

We use these in the garage to cover two switches that control outside garage lights. The power must be kept on as our lights have sensors. Somebody’s always hitting the wrong switch and turning them off. This would not be convenient if it’s a switch that you use from time to time but for our use, they are perfect.

I bought these to cover light switches to keep house guests from accidently flipping my outdoor motion sensor lights off and on as well as mistaking my garbage disposal switch for the light above my kitchen sink. I like that I can still use the switches because it has one open side on the cover. The only problem I had was that they really need screws that are a little longer than the screws that are standard with switch plates. The first one I installed using my switch plate screws snapped about 15 seconds after I installed it due to the screw being too short to accommodate the switch plate and the new cover. Thankfully I bought the set of four, so I still had enough to cover the three switches I had to protect. I had to be careful to just barely tighten the screws enough to hold the plate and the switch cover securely. A longer screw would have made that much easier, I just had to be careful not to tighten it too much. Other than that they work well and look good.

These are great! They protect my switches from accidently being turned off. I have multiple switch, switch plates in my home. Each one seems to have a switch that always needs to stay on. We were using tape...which was tacky. So these switch guards are perfect! They look great and provide the functionality I was looking for!

As advertised. They prevent accidental turning of the light switch on or off depending on your preference. They are easily installed. They are adequately sturdy. The gap on the one side allows for the switch to be used normally without removing the cover.

Really high quality switch covers. Easy to install and very nice looking. The cover allows for access to the switch from one side. I would purchase these again and recommend this product.

We used one of these to cover up the switch for our garbage disposal - it’s right next to an identical switch for the under-cabinet lights and I always mix them up, scaring everyone within earshot in the process. The other one is going over the switch for my mom’s furnace, which seems like a strange feature for a furnace to have anyways. The plastic didn’t crack while tightening the screws, and the opening is small but still useable.

Used on emergency cut off switch for furnace. I only needed one, so have an extra if i ever need. Easy to install and it does the job of ensuring the switch is not accidentally turned off, while allowing you space to get your finger in and turn off if/when necessary.
