My farrier recommended this. As someone who has been shoeing for over 30 years and is a genius at corrective shoeing, he has a reliable perspective.And he turned out to be right. My farm is near the ocean on sandy soil that dries out the horses' hooves - except in the winter when the horses feet can get too wet. Over the past three years, Sound Hoof has managed to keep the hoof walls strong and manageable in both the dry and wet weather. We get minimal cracking on the barefoot horses and good growth on all the horses, shod or unshod.

I tried the smaller container (with the brush applicator) and liked it so much I bought this to refill it. It keeps Lacey's hooves supple without weakening them and virtually eliminates chipping and peeling.

Improved my horse's feet right away and is keeping them in good shape. He is barefoot and with our extreme wet to dry weather they had gotten dry and started to chip.

Keeps hoof in great shape without softening it. Easy to apply. Dog love to lick it up. Not harmful. It was even recommended by my farrier.

I used this product religiously when my horses were in the California desert. Now I'm on the East Coast and due to the dry weather here this year, I ordered the large container. This was a mistake. The product isn't the same and the formulation has definitely changed. Now I'm stuck with this huge size and my horses still have unmoisturized hooves. NOT HAPPY.

I purchased this product on the advise of my farrier. I live in SE Arizona, in the desert. This product keeps my horses hooves in top condition in spite of the dry climate.
