Well acted. Great scenery

Great series recommend to all.

I have been a fan of this show for many years and I have every episode on dvd. After reading other reviews saying that this set is not worth watching, I have to disagree. The story lines are still good (sometimes a little far fetched) but the show still keeps you guessing who the culprit is, and that is the result of excellent writing.

The allowed us to continue the series. We have watch from episode one.

Keep going, even if it is a bit formulatic, I still love my old favorite. Neil is great and love his 'family'. The addition involvement of the coroner is a fabulous twist. She is marvolus. I feel like I am in my favorite chair as I watch it.

The music has changed and the murders are more convoluted than prior. But still a good English murder to watch.

We have been watching Midsomer Murders since the first season and continue to love it through the cast and producer changes. It is simply the best British mystery series out there!

We own all the Midsomer Murders on DVD and since Neil Dudgeon joined the cast the episodes have lost almost all of the subtle humor. There is no byplay between the detective and his sergeant as there was with John Nettles. The problem is in the writing, they can't be sarcastic, funny etc if it is not in the script,. And the stories are getting a bit stupid too. They always were trying to find creative ways of killing people off, but it is getting ridiculous. We will still watch for lack of anything else (Brokenwood the exception) but will not be enjoying them like we used too. They should have a producer again like Brian True-May who brought out the best in the cast, writers and directors.

Excellent series, continues to be well written, acted, with intriguing plots. I think it has improved greatly as the seasons progress referring to the Neal Dudgeon latter series of this program.

Solid series, which is getting a little old hat perhaps, but the movies are still very meticulously produced and usually very well cast.

DVDs were unreadable on a UK palyer. They were not the PAL format. There was nothing on the discs or the box to indicate what format the discs were. This has been returned, awaiting a refund. As this was bought through Amazon UK it should have been compatible with UK format. Although bought through the UK site, the returns label is Amazon Indianapolis, USA. I suspect the format is the US format NTSC. Beware of returns that are not to the UK. The website instructions state print one label. If having to return overseas you will be asked to sign 3x customs labels before the "drop off shop" will accept your package. This should be clearly stated on the returns page for the label. Amazon- please sort both of these issues out. I want to reorder series 21- will it be in PAL format?
