DOCAZOO Extension Telescoping Pole Saw 7-30 Ft

I bought the pole with the GoSaw so that branches that my standard pole saw would not reach. The pole is equal in weight and balance. I found it works better and is stronger than what I have been using. The ability to use other standard threaded items on the pole is very useful. The clamps don't stay tight, so you'll have to carry a Phillips screw driver to adjust them now and then. The pop-rivets that holds the thread tip on don't last, so you'll have to replace with screws. This solved the problem. I like this pole and GoSaw. The fact that I could use the saw quickly without the pole made my work faster. I would definitely buy this again.

Great product. Save me lots of money.

I first bought the slightly shorter version and when that broke, I bought this one, which also broke. The saw blades work great, but the rivets on the top part break, so there is no way to fix it. On this one, before that happened, the tightening screw stopped working (i.e. was stripped), so the head would turn while using it, which made it very difficult to cut some branches. I used them about once every other month to trim trees, usually for a couple of hours. Each lasted about 3 years, which isn't horrible, but should have lasted longer than approximately 20 uses. The longer one definitely bent a lot while using it near full length. (I never extend any section to full length, always leaving about 9-12 inches from full.) I am attaching photos of the screw and the broken rivet.

If you are considering a docapole, a small lever on mine broke and I tried emailing the company and none of the email addresses were valid, they were all bounced back to me. The small green lever is also a small part of the pole, but makes collapsing it or opening it almost impossible without breaking out tools every time. They also don't have a call number so getting replacement parts like the one I need and you are likely to need at some point makes their product a throw away item. They also only respond on facebook messenger by thanking you for reaching out... likely an auto-response. Never anything useful. Zero stars if I could.

This is a useful tool. I used it to trim our Birch trees. Very important to read all the directions and tighten the locking screw for the saw blade. If you don't, the saw blade may come off the tip and get stuck up in the tree. Adjust the pole length starting from the bottom first and then work up toward the tip. If you can get the angle right, the saw will cut extremely well, especially if the branch you're cutting stems from a stout leader. If what you're trying to cut stems from a more flexible branch, it will be much more challenging. The farther out you extend the pole, the less pressure you can apply to the cut because the pole becomes increasingly flexible. It takes some practice, but once you get the hang of it, you should be very satisfied with the performance. Try to cut in a manner that isn't in a direct line with the growth habit of the limb you're cutting because once the limb is severed, it might follow the pole down toward you, which will cause you to lower the pole with the weight of the limb. If the limb is heavy, it could bend the pole when it all comes down together and hits the ground. Much better to do your cutting with no leaves on the tree. The limbs will be much lighter without the added weight of the leaves and you will be able to see where to cut much easier. Good luck!

My condo complex has issues with trees originally planted too close to our buildings, so limb overhang and leaves in upper gutters is a problem. To minimize this, we've gotten quotes from tree companies to take down trees and trim back the troublesome growth. Problem is the cost and of course scheduling the task when someone here can manage their work and make necessary decisions if they arise. At approximately $175 per tree, we thought trying to do the work ourselves would be prudent given our limited maintenance budget. We knew we needed a long pole for the taller trees, but most topped out at 20 or 24 feet. This one certainly is hefty, and the price was right. Was pleasantly surprised when the delivery came. In the pole box was the adjustable tip and a long dusting wand that wasn't mentioned in the product description. I had ordered the adjustable tip and received it the day before, and it's the same one included with the pole. Nice! Now I can use the extra tip for my other shorter, single length pole for cleaning the lower gutters. I used the saw up to 15 feet last night as a test. I found it helps to stand at an angle to the branch being cut to allow the weight of the pole to help keep the saw blade in the cutting groove. What would have taken me a half hour to cut through using my makeshift pruning saw took 4 minutes to do about 3 inches of live tree limb. I'll be doing more this weekend, and I'll add an update to this review. So far, so good. Update: Lowered the rating by one star due to slippage in the upper section while trying to cut. I did what one reviewer suggested and I tightened all the screws, but it still slipped. I think they need metal thumb locks instead of plastic so the pressure could be increased to keep it from pulling out and decreasing the efficiency of the cutting blade. I also got really concerned when the branch sagged and pinched the blade. Had to really work the saw and pole to free it. I may have to rig up my makeshift pole to all me to apply some support to the branch to help free the blade in the future.

A lot of the negative comments mention this pole being wobbly. It is 30ft long....it going to have wobble a little bit. You can use the wobble to your advantage though as far as how much effort you have to put forth. I have cut a handful of 12" thick branches. It will take a little while, but once you have a groove in the branch, the saw isn't going to pop out and you can just go to town on it until the weight of the branch does the rest. It takes a couple cuts to get the hang of it to use it efficiently at 20+ feet, but you'll get it. One thing to look out for. If you are cutting an odd angled branch at the limit of the poles reach, be aware of how the branch will land. Also drop the pole to the ground on your arms end when in doubt. I accidentally held onto the pole and had a smaller branch fall onto a section and bend it.. It still works, it's just a little funky now.

First, when I opened the box there was the telescopic pole and a screw on duster. I thought they accidentally sent me a duster instead of the saw blade. However, the saw attachment was in a separate box inside (for safety reasons as it’s sharp). Once extended, as others have suggested, don’t stand directly under the saw but rather on an angle to the top leaning as best you can the top of the saw on the branch you choose to cut. It’s easier to handle this way. It did take a lot of back and forth sawing in small motions as it was very high up in the air. But versus paying a few hundred dollars to my gardener to trim my high up trees this is a great money saver. Just be careful using it and if you don’t need it fully extended do not. For stability reasons. I would definitely recommend this pole. Also, if you want the company sells attachments with a suction cup to help change a high up lightbulb in a ceiling. Overall, a great purchase.

J'ai fait cet achat non sans hésitation après avoir lu les commentaires... Donc effectivement, ce n'est pas facile de couper des branches à 7m de hauteur mais on y arrive! Persévérance, méthode et patience aident beaucoup. Je ne vois pas ce qui peut être amélioré sur ce produit pour rendre la tâche plus aisée... En en plus le support client est impeccable.

It was perfect for me. Saved a several hundred dollar tree trimming cost where it was overhanging my eavestroughs three stories up. Blade is sharp and effective. It's just a little unwieldy when fully extended, but that isn't the product's fault. Definitely worth it if you have to cut branches a long way up!

I used the full 9.1m length to cut a couple of overhanging branches of an oak tree that were blocking evening light to my patio. These branches were just a couple of inches thick, and at full extension it took several minutes to cut each. Not easy, but with patience no real problem. I have also cut a few lower branches, which were easier. Not that I have given only 3 stars for ease of use - that is because it is bound to be difficult to operate a saw blade on a 9.1m pole so the rating is based on the inherent difficulty of the task. However if cutting branches at height is a job that you really need to do - I recommended this product. The saw is sharp and attached easily and the extension section clamps operated both easily and effectively - so in respect of the product itself a rating of 5 stars would be deserved. I am very impressed with the design of the product to enable operation at this extreme length and light weight. Moreover - the customer service was outstanding. - There was a minor fault with the initial delivery and I was surprised at how quickly the supplier rep (Alona) responded via the messaging centre. She asked a few questions for clarification of the problem and very quickly resolved it. I could not be happier with the product and customer service.
