I've had their Bugout Backpack for a few years now and really like it; however, it's a bit large for a day hike, so I decided to purchase the Three Day Pass for use as a day pack. The quality and workmanship is excellent. Frankly, I'm surprised that I was able to purchase it for the price that I did. It seems like it should cost more.The bag is very tough and very intelligently designed. I like the fact that it has a chest strap, waist strap and lots of variously sized compartments and pockets for storage. I also appreciate the compression straps which allow you to reduce the size of the pack when it's not fully loaded. I recently went on a winter day hike in a national forest near my location. I had a lot of gear because I didn't know what to expect, yet the bag was able to accommodate all of it with ease and in a way that made it simple to find things when I needed them. If you want more detail on the specifics of its design, then I recommend watching the Sandpiper product video located with the product pictures. The company provides a more thorough overview of the specs and features than I can here. Suffice it to say, I'm very happy with this backpack. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Pack *by N***S on Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2016* I got this backpack for school and personal use. Compared to the last tactical style backpack I've had, this holds up very well and is a lot more sturdy. The pack seems to be fairly water resistant and feels good to carry, even with a full load. Since this is not made for school, there may be difficulties fitting in things such as books and folders but it holds my 15" laptop well (but not much else). Also the cord on the zippers has come undone a few times, but if you retie them stronger you won't have a problem. There are many internal pockets/pouches in the two outer compartments which helps to secure your gear, and the velcro has been holding a patch on strong so far. I would highly recommend for airsoft/camping or even school. If you want to be really rough with it, try an find a buddy in the military to pick one up for you through their end because these are not technically built to military grade, the commercial vs military sold ones are slightly different, but it will still be all around be sturdy and dependable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Overall great backpack *by A***O on Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2015* Great backpack. Completely blacked-out logos. Very big with a lot of compartments, and is made of durable material and zippers. The zippers broke on the last backpack I owned, so I switched to SOC because I know its zippers will not break. I know this backpack will last at least four years of heavy everyday use.My only complaints are that one side of the waist-strap kept falling out of the plastic rings that attach it to the backpack, so I had to take it off altogether. Additionally, the main compartment is really big and the zipper goes almost all the way to the bottom of the bag. So when you're packing it, the front and back will fall all the way open and the bag will not stand up by itself.
