Review: Awesome shoes, look good, not too heavy, very comfortable, stiff soles. - These are my new favorite shoes. Shoes are a very type-specific item which depends on the person, so I'll give you some context. I'm 6', 290 lbs, ride a touring motorcycle, and walk 6000+ steps per day, usually concrete, or office floors. I have a history of plantar faciitis, though not currently. I can only wear shoes that have very stiff soles (heal to ball of foot). Most shoes since 2008 or so have gone flimsy, and I would have heel pain within few days if I wore them. I even wear Naot sandals in home on wood/tile floors. I also need removable sole, so I swap in my green superfeet. I've tried many other shoes... I find Keen Utility to have best soles (for me) and Mid boots seem a little more rigid than shoes. Some Keen Utilities have larger toe box (too big for me) like Albany. The steel toes don't work for me, they seem to sqeak more and toe box with ST doesn't allow for superfeet insoles (for me). I prefer black shoes that are nice looking but not too flashy. The detroit low tread came apart (2 part mold) after a while. The Tucson Low soft toe has been my go to pair..... I like these Braddock Mids even better. I like the leather includes in shoe, like that this model is made in USA. They are a little more comfortable and are easier to get in/out of then I expected. I've been wearing them 2 weeks now and my feet feel great. The hard molded toe on Braddock soft, Tucson Soft, is great on motorcycle since it allows for easier shifting without the rigid/weight of ST. Review: Keens. Best Boots I've Ever Owned. - You can't go wrong with Keen boots. I've been wearing boots for 60 years - these are the only ones that fit comfortably out of the box, minimal wear in, very durable. Men's size 15W. See below - jeans, Keens, weens. That's life

Keens. Best Boots I've Ever Owned.
You can't go wrong with Keen boots. I've been wearing boots for 60 years - these are the only ones that fit comfortably out of the box, minimal wear in, very durable. Men's size 15W. See below - jeans, Keens, weens. That's life

NOT wide, Wide sizes.
I have several pair of Keens that fit great, so when I needed new work boots and I stumbled on some Keen boots, I thought super! I need a wide shoe with a big toe box. Normally Keen does not come in widths, but they are comfortable. When I found work boots that even had wide widths I was excited. Wide than normal? Great! Well these "wide" boots are narrower than regular sizes. They are painful to wear and the rubberized toe cuts into your toes. They are NOTwide! Very disappointing. Now the problem is I kept them too long so I probably can not return them. :(

Comfortable and durable, just don’t let them squeak for too long
I have purchased these as uniform boots for myself and my field service employees for the past 6-7 years. They are very durable and comfortable, considering I rarely am off my feet during the workday unless I am eating or driving. I also used a pair for my first year as a FF/EMT and they stood up well to EMS service and wildland training hikes (until I got some approved boots). The only downside is, the laces are prone to shredding through the eyelet system and can happen early on. This happened to my first set, which rendered them essentially useless. You will notice when this is starting to happen by an audible “squeak” in the affected boot. I was able to prevent this from happening again on a new pair by waxing the middle 3/4 length of the removed laces (avoiding the tying lengths) and then relacing the boots. Simply floss the laces through an unlit candle or block of canning paraffin. If you have a hairdryer/heatgun/lighter to briefly heat the laces to allow the wax to soak in and then repeat a couple times, it works even better. No squeak, no friction, no premature wear or failure. Other than that one issue, these will be our uniform boot until the style gets discontinued.

Great work boot. Period.
This is the third pair of these boots I've owned and I can't say enough good things about them. I do a lot of walking, ladder climbing, and even have to deal with snow and wet environments from time to time and these stand up well. The only weakness I've encountered is the loops holding the laces will start breaking after about a year. Even then, I still manage to get another year out of them before being forced buy another pair. Zero issues with sole wear or separation on any pair I've owned. They're comfortable right out of the box (even though they're a bit stiff until worn in). They hold up very well aesthetically. Can't speak as to how well they hold up in extreme environmental use on a daily basis but these are excellent for indoor environments where walking on cement all day is required. This third pair I've purchased appears to be just as good (in terms of construction, materials, and quality) as the first pair I bought 4 years ago. When these finally wear out, I'll buy another pair.

No free Prime return!
These are terrific boots. My second pair. Light weight, reasonably water “resistant “ and wear well except laces tend to wear through at the top hooks and plastic top hooks can break if snagged. Fit is mostly as expected except I wanted more room for heavy Sox so I ordered 1/2 size larger than previous pair. But, still too tight with winter wool Sox. So I tried to return this pair. Even though Amazon Product Page stated this order was “Prime, in stock, and fulfilled by Amazon” return process charged $6.00 for UPS postage. It also took 10 days for order to be delivered. Something not right with this!! Apparently not Prime as Product Page stated. I should have caught this sooner and canceled order. Now, when I went to order another larger pair the price is $45 more!! No thanks!

The boot is quite heavy duty in the right areas and flexible where needed. Quality thick leather upper mixed with a bit of synthetics and low cut. The toe box is wide and tall, feels nice to wiggle your toes while the boot is tied. Based on my 20+ years wearing Keen, This Braddock model is very well made and I see 3+ years of use, or 2 really good years then as a second as some do. The toe box caps are strong and large dual density, strong toe caps which will also shed water very well The insole is removeable and its comfy. the whole boot is comfy. Also foot in and out in mere seconds including tie up.... so easy. As you walk they don't roll real smooth like most Keen boots, they kind of have a double hit to the ground/floor. not a smooth heel contact smoothly roll up and no transition felt. I figure its the strong outer sole has a larger gap between heel and foot so this allows for a double hit instead of smooth roll. I will get used to that I hope, it's minor for the other great features of this light work boot. I highly recommend you add this boot to your collection of footwear. Size wise I found them true to size
